Voice Compare » Spider-Man » Scorpion
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Scorpion with sound clips and images.
EDITOR'S OPINION
Well folks here is a rather large VC and this one shall be for this member of Spider Man's Rogues Gallery... SCORPION! Seeing on how this is a rather large Voice Compare I shall make this VC rather short so my favorites are Beau Weaver, Dee Bradley Baker, Fred Tatasciore and Jim Cummings. (While Carl Banas, Martin Landau and John Kassir were close.) The others were alright, Neil and Daran's acting was alright but their voices were a little too high (at least Martin made a better effort trying to make it work and I will give John a break since it works for the rather "alternate" take on Scorpion here). Michael was alright but a little generic, Richard was not bad but I could picture him doing a better voice for the role and was an okay alternative to Martin Landau. Overall while none of these performances are bad per say but I liked Beau Weaver, Dee Bradley Baker, Fred Tatasciore and Jim Cummings the most here.Pokejedservo

I voted for Dee because he's the best for regular Scorpion. I keep wondering who would have voiced him in season 3 of SSM. I think Thomas Wilson would be great as him. And he was already on the show.

Carl Banas stings his competition with his voice of the Scorpion.

I'm going with Richard Moll. Dee Bradley Baker and Fred Tatasciore are alright too. John Kassir worked as the 2099 version of the Scorpion. I find it strange that he Scorpion was in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 because I think that Mac Gargan was Venom in that game too.

John Kassir's was really menacing, but his was the 2099 Scorpion and I can't see it working for a regular Scorpion. Dee Bradley Baker gets my vote.

John Kassir is overall the best because he is really the most threatening sounding of the versions and thats what I envisioned when I first saw the new envisioning of the Scorpion

I like Richard Moll, Fred Tatasciore, and John Kassir the most. Moll gave Scorpion a nice slick-talking attitude, and was actually really entertaining to listen to. As usual, Fred does a great monstrous voice, and his performance here is no exception. But in the end, I'd have to go with John on this one; he sounded the most intimidating (even more so than Fred, which is quite ironic) and was the most realistic, like an actual scorpion (though that may have to do with his 2099 design being closer to one, as well as John's portrayal of that).
Daran Norris would be perfect, but his voice is way too high (probably just the added sfx/filter though), Michael McColl's acting is terrible, and Dee Baker sounds like a common thug; nothing stands out with his performance.

Gonna give it to Dee Bradley Baker here since his voice for Gargan suits how the character is, but doesn't overdo it, though Jim Cummings and Richard Moll aren't too bad, too. Michael McColl does well for how the first movie's tie-in game paranoid and crazy take on him.
That said, Jim Cummings as Scorpion is kind-of odd, given the second Marvel: Ultimate Alliance game also had Gargan as Venom.
Beau Weaver and Daran Norris both make their Scorpions sound like 80s cartoon villains, which is not something I think a lot of people want in games in the 2000s.
John Kassir did good as the monstrous Scorpion 2099.

It's a shame Scorpions such a brute since he's one of my favorite villains but I think Jim gave him the cooler voice. :)

Here's a better picture for "Spider-Man: The Movie Game" (less blurry):

And also, I vote for Daran Norris. His raspy voice gave me chills. :D
