Voice Compare » Spider-Man » Ned Leeds
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Ned Leeds with sound clips and images.
Edward "Ned" Leeds is a supporting character in the Spider-Man series whom made his comic book debut in The Amazing Spider-Man #18 in November of 1964. Ned Leeds is known as reporter for the Daily Bugle who was initially known as the man who married Daily Bugle Secretary Betty Brant (though how their marriage went differs on which story we are talking about but it generally ended very badly). One other incident Ned is known for that he was brainwashed then framed into being the alter ego for the Hobgoblin (a trick used by Roderick Kingsley to hide the fact that he is the real Hobgoblin). But before the Hobgoblin incident Ned is a highly intuitive investigative reporter who had a keen mind for deductive reasoning.
EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Spider Man VC section we take a look at this reporter for the Daily Bugle... NED LEEDS! Let us begin...
Bob Bergen- Bob's voice is pretty good for the role (even though it does kind of seem like a higher version of his Lupin the 3rd voice). Bob's performance for the role does suit Ned's depiction in the show as an opportunistic (though somewhat callous) reporter well enough and is a pretty good example of his work.
Andrew Kishino- Andrew's voice and performance worked pretty well with the role as it does suit on how Ned is a fairly opportunistic investigative reporter. Anyways Andrew's work as Ned is a pretty good example of his work and of the voice work in the show.
Overall both of these guys are pretty good in their own way so I am not sure who to go with here...
