Dr. Miles Warren

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Dr. Miles Warren with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Spider-Man

(Note: SPOILER WARNING The Jonathan Harris clip contains certain spoilers for the '94 Spider Man TV series.)

Miles Warren is one of the various antagonists in the Spider-Man series in The Amazing Spider-Man #31in December of 1965. Miles Warren is a brilliant geneticist (who in a certain story once worked with the High Evolutionary before) whom is known as a specialist in genetic splicing and cloning (though his motives why often vary between stories). Dr. Miles Warren is a rather manipulative man whom has created several clones of plenty of characters in the franchise such as Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy and even himself. Though Miles still does appear in stories as himself but  he has been known as the Alter Ego of the monstrous but still intelligent creature Jackal.

Today on the Spider Man VC section we take a look at this scientist from is responsible for a lot of the infamous cloning shenanigans regarding in the Ol' Web-Head's life... MILES WARREN! Let us begin shall we?

Jonathan Harris- The late great Jonathan Harris was a natural choice for an old mad scientist whom seems to value the idea of proving his cloning experiments can work than ethics as his performance suits that very well. So in other words Jonathan Harris' overall voice work for the role worked very well and is probably one of his better voice acting performances.

Brian George- Brian's voice and performance for the role suits this younger take on the role well as his performance works well with how the show plays up how manipulative Miles is. But still Brian George's does a splendid job playing the role of a manipulative scientist whom will gladly screw other people over just for the sake of his own goals namely his own research. So basically its a fine example of Brian's work and of the voice work in the show.

Overall I am pretty much calling this one a tie as both of these guys do the role very well in their own way.

Both are good and bad for different reasons.

While Harris' take is on an older version of the character, I think his acting is very good.

Brian George has the advantage of having a more age-appropriate voice, but the acting is very one-tone, making the voice come off as very dull.

I slightly prefer Jonathan Harris, but Brian George isn't too bad either.

Harris does the better acting job here. George sounds too plain.

Brian George. Why did the 90's show make Warren so old? He wasn't THAT old!

I'm trying to decide by who I could most clearly hear becoming the jackal in the future. I guess Brian would work better for that, so I'll go with him.

I'm gonna go with Brian George. I felt his vocie suited Miles Warren's manipulative nature more. Seeing this makes me sad that we've never seen the Jackal identity in animation.

That said, I am geeking out that Warren in the 90s series was Dr. Smith.XD

Brian George, but then again, he did have much more material to work from.
