Voice Compare » Sonic the Hedgehog » Pachacamac
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Pachacamac with sound clips and images.
Pachacamac is a secondary character in the Sonic the Hedgehog series whose debut in the game series is in the first Sonic Adventure game. Pachacamac is the chief and warlord of the ancient Knuckles Tribe (whom Knuckles himself is the last descendant of that tribe) and is the father of Tikal. Pachacamac lived about 4000 years ago and was once a kind tribal leader until his wife died then he became cold and distant and wanted nothing but conquest in which Tikal tried to talk to him out of it but was never successful. Unfortunately Pachacamac's desire for power ended up being the cause of Echidna City's downfall at the hands of Chaos when he tried to take the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald from the Chao.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Sonic VC section we take a look at Tikal's long late father... PACHACAMAC! Let us begin...Steve Brodie- Steve's voice for the role is okay but a tad generic as his voice was a decent attempt at trying to sound like an old man. However Steve's performance does suit a Warlord fairly well (especially as someone whom tries to use benevolence as a way to justify his violent tendencies). So overall Steve's work on the role is pretty good but not one of his better performances in the Sonic series.
Jimmy Zoppi- Now I was pleasantly surprised with Jimmy's voice for the role as I like his somewhat gruff older voice and his attempt at an accent as well. Jimmy's performance does make Pachacamac seem a bit more fatherly this time around but it still does suit his warlord tendencies well enough. So in other words Jimmy did rather well with this role and is a good example of the voice work in the dub of the show.
Overall neither one are bad but I am actually going with Jimmy more on this one.

This would've probably been a tie due to both sounding equally bland and unmemorable...if not for Jimmy's dumb, unnecessary accent. So I'm going with Steve.

This comparison is a little tough, because I don't really like either voice for Pachacamac. If I were forced to choose one though, I guess Steve Broadie would be it.
Steve's voice for the character is okay when it's casual, but when he sounds angry and aggressive, he sounds very awkward. Steve's acting for those moments is forced and unnatural.
Now for Jimmy Zoppi...I don't like this voice because his ridiculous accent makes it a little hard to take him seriously. The voice itself sounds too gruff and silly for a character that's supposed to be a highly respected leader.
If only Pachacamac had a better voice then what these two actors provided. But as I said, Steve is probably the best of the two.

I'll go with Jimmy Zoppi as I can't really understand what Steve Brodie is saying.

I don't really like either of these voices.
Steve Brodie seems kind of flat in the role and sounds like he's being rushed around the end there but it does sound a bit better than before I guess, either way he sounded much better as Gamma.
Jimmy Zoppi probably would've been decent, but the silly accent he uses just completely kills his performance so I really can't take it seriously at all.
If I had to choose, I'd probably go with Steve Brodie, despite the iffy acting I got a better sense of his character there and I can take it a bit more seriously than Zoppi's voice.
But I really think someone else could do a much better performance for Pachacamac out there, if he were to ever return in some way...like in a flashback or something along those lines.
