Heather like the rest of the original cast, will always be the best to me, her delivery on lines, especially ones like "Jeepers" make her such a joy to listen to, and is one of the reasons I consider the original cast and every episode from 1969 to 1973 the best. Grey, Mary Kay, and Indira fall behind in that respective order.

I wonder if Kari Wahlgren would make a good Daphne Blake.

They're all perfectly fitting, but I give my vote to Grey DeLisle here.

I honestly have to go for Grey DeLisle because she seems to be a bit more light-hearted and kind, and has a more prominent personality, which Heather, Indira seem to lack (which might fall more under the writers' responsibility, in all fairness). Mary Kay was also great, but still, DeLisle gets my vote.

I prefer Heather as she voiced Daphne the most.

Grey is 2nd because I'm really liking her voice.

Mary should have bein Daphne for longer. Yes she died in 1999 aged 38 because she was depressed & committed suicide RIP.

Indira was the original, she should've bein Daphne for longer.

Kellie doesn't count as she was the young version.

Heather North Kenney is the best Daphne voice to me. She's done it for many years, and fits the character really well.
Grey DeLisle comes in second, and Warner obviously chose her back in 2001 because she's one of the most popular voice actresses there nowadays (she seems to be considered the new June Foray.)
Stefanianna Christopherson's Daphne was kind of whiny and complainy (though I doubt that's why she got replaced for the 1970 season of "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?"), and Mary Kay Bergman's Daphne is a little off at times, often rather perky for the character.
Kellie Martin was PERFECT for young Daphne. If they ever do a new "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" made-for-video movie or something, they'd definitely have to bring her back. I think Martin might be also a good voice for the adult Velma as well, like if Mindy Cohn can't do it...

In order from favorites to least favorites, Daphne has some great voice actors who all fit the character. I literally mean every single one of them in a way.

1) Grey DeLisle - She is by far the BEST Daphne ever. She captures the kindheartedness and danger-prone aspects of Daphne, while still making her sound intelligent at the same time. Her incarnations of Daphne are always smart, especially with getting herself out of predicaments.

2) Mary Kay Bergman - A little on the soft side of Daphne's personality, Mary's portrayal was down right impressive indeed, especially for the new direction Daphne's character was taken in, and also for Zombie Island. Mary performed accordingly to Daphne's mature and no-nonsense personality.

3) Heather North Kenney - Her Daphne interpretation has a very ample amount of range. Down to the basics, her Daphne was all out perfect and could be clutzy and danger-prone, but at the same time empowering, mature, and intelligent.

4) Kellie Martin - I'm going to classify her separately mostly for the fact that she was cast as a younger, childish Daphne. She played that role perfectly, and still managed to bring in some definitive aspects from the older versions of the character into a prequel setting.

5) Indira Stefanianna Christopherson - Although she is last, I do not dislike her voice. She is the original and always will be, who gave the character a lot to work with. Her incarnation was very innocent and soft-spoken, which was all out amazing.

Although Grey is an adequate replacement, I think Mary did better. Sadly, she is no longer with. Just think what she could have contributed to the VA field if she were still around.

1: Indira and Heather for me are tied for first place and the two voices for Daphne I grew up with in the 70's and 80's.

Yes Heather took over the Role when Indria left but they sound alike and I thought at first it was the same actress but she had made a slight adjustment to the voice.

Much like Mel Blanc did for Barney Rubble over the years on the Flintstone. Barney sounded different in the begining of the original series. before Mel used the voice we all know and love.

The thing about Daphne is that while Heather North was perfectly fine in the role, she wasn't vocally "iconic" like the other characters instantly were. Ergo, the subsequent actresses were able to put more of a personal stamp on the role and not just do an impersonation.

Mary Kay Bergman (God rest her troubled soul) did a very nice job in her films, but I think Grey DeLisle might be the all-time champ as the character. For one, she's played her for the longest sustained period of time, so she's gotten a lot of time to play around with it from an acting perspective in the various films and series. Grey's best work in the role is probably in Mystery, Incorporated, though to be fair that's also because of the writing.

@SpiderDreamer Heather was Nicole Jaffe's room mate in college at the time. Indira Christopherson had quit after the first season and the way Hanna-Barbera ran, they needed a voice and fast. Heather wasn't really a professional at the time. She got better over the years. But no one beats Indira. She did it best. And by the way, Scooby-doo, Mystery Inc. sucks hardcore. So don't bring it into this please.

@SpiderDreamer Technically, Heather has still performed the role the longest. 150 half-hour episodes, plus three movie appearances, is quite a lot (originally over a period of 16 years, not counting the later movies she did). Even if you count each of Grey's movies as 3 or 4 episodes each (depending on the length), she'd still have about 20 or 30 episodes to go.

@RNB Heather was a professional actress at the time. She had been a cast member of "Days of Our Lives" over three years prior to being cast has Daphne (she remained on the show from 1967-1971). She had been a professional film and TV actress since 1965 when she was 15. She was actually more a more active actress than Nicole Jaffe was.

@RNB Yeah, but at the time, he was just starting out (Fred was his first voice role). Hanna-Barbera wanted real young people to voice Fred, Velma, and Daphne Frank and Nicole were in their early-mid 20s, and Heather was only 19!

Heather and Indira..don't like them that much at all. Funny that, because with the other characters I prefer their first voice, however I don't like Daphne's first voices as much as Grey and Mary. Heather is nice sounding though.

I guess if I had to pick an order, it would be (I love making these lists! lol):

1. Heather North - Her Daphne has the most range. She can be clutzy and ditzy, as well as empowering and mature (such as in 13 Ghosts). I believe her voice, overall, fits the character the most.

2. Mary Kay Bergman - Yeah her voice was a little on the soft side, but her acting was downright perfect, especially in Zombie Island, but I'm a tad biased because I love what they did with her character in that movie. She's never been the same since. But seriously, even though her voice was very different from North, it worked in that it could sound soft and ditzy (very similar to Stefanianna Christopherson), and mature and no-nonsense. It's a shame she didn't voice the chracter longer. Daphne was probably her best performance.

2 (tie). Kellie Martin - I loved her take on younger Daphne. She made her hilarious, and very memorable. She also gave the character life not seen anywhere else before. I've always loved the sarcastic, no-nonsense side of Daphne.

3. Stefanianna Christopherson - She's the original, and always will be. Her voice was soft-spoken and innocent, and really gave the character a lot to work with. She also has the advantage of voicing Daphne in the majority of the classic "Where Are You?!" series that will always be the bread and butter of the franchise. Sometimes her voice got generic, but it worked. It would've been interesting to hear her take on the role past those original 17 episodes.

4. Grey DeLisle - She's been doing a good job for the past 10 years voicing Daphne. She's not nearly as good as Mary Kay Bergman, but she gets the job done. Most of my issues with her Daphne can be blamed more on the writing. I'm not as much a fan of the ditzy, damsel in distress side of the character, and Daphne has been nothing but that ever since the late 90s (with the exception of the live action movies, especially the first). Grey's a talented voice actress. I know if given with the right material, she could pull off a Heather or a Mary Kay. But to date, her Daphne irks me as a whiny valley-girl.

Here's my ranking
1. Heather North Kenney - She did an awesome job as Daphne
2. Grey DeLisle - Decent replacement
3. Kellie Martin - decent child version of Daphne
4. Mary Kay Bergman - Her acting was spot-on but the voice seemed kinda awkward
5. Indira Stefanianna Christopherson - Sounds too low for Daphne

@MatthewC17 She's as good as Grey DeLisle. When Mary Kay Bergman passed away, and Grey took over, I didn't notice the difference! I thought it was the same person (I didn't hear about MKB's death until a few years ago). Of course, Grey was matching her voice in Cyber Chase to keep it consistent with the other 3 films, but still...

Heather North FTW. She made Daphne sound intelligent, but still kinda stupid at the same time. she really nailed it. Grey Delisle sounds waaaay too much like a valley girl, Mary Kay Bergman sounded too high pithed (but her acting was spot on), and Kellie Martin sounded too sweet. Christoherson was alright too, but too one-sided.
