Ah yes and as for this Ranma 1/2 VC you all shall the majestic glory that is none other than THE BLUE THUNDER OF FURINKAN HIGH SCHOOL whom is none other than TATEWAKI KUNO! *ahem* Theatrics aside in the North American released dub of the series done by Viz in the 90's he was voiced by Ted Cole ever since the early 90's. And alike a good portion of his fellow cast mates Tatewaki Kuno is Ted Cole's first role in anime and he leaves a fine first impression. Ted's voice & performance for this role definitely suited the role well as it fits Kuno's "Arrogant Smooth Rich Prettyboy" persona and is also suitably hammy enough when Kuno deems himself to be "such a man amongst men". Overall its one of Ted Cole's best performances and is a fine example of the voice work in Viz's Ranma 1/2 dub.

There is an alternative English dub made in Hong Kong for Animax's stations in the SE Asia market, American Hong Kong actor Russell Wait voices Kuno in which this is a pleasant surprise. For Russell also delivers a youthful hamfisted energetic performance as Tatewaki Kuno as well in which that is also pretty fitting for the role. So I must say this is probably one of Russell's best performances so far and is one of the better performances in the Animax dub. Overall I suppose I am still going with Ted Cole a bit more as Kuno but I have got to hand it to Russell Wait on how he was surprisingly a very close second in this regard.
