Happy New Year BTVA! We are now in a new year and new decade but the first VC we shall do is actually for the Powerpuff Girls and this time we shall have one for one of their friends the Mayor of Townsville!

In the original PPG series he was voiced by VA Tom Kenny! And for this performance Tom Kenny does a rather high pitched voice for a character whom is generally quite cheerful and is lets just never all that bright, so in other words its not exactly a stretch of Mr. Kenny's talents now is it? But still Tom Kenny's work for the Mayor does definitely work for the role as it was quite fitting for the Mayor's kooky persona.

In the English dub of the PPG anime series he was voiced by Ocean Group VA Alec Willows, and while it does have some similarities to his Oolong voice Alec did do a good attempt at making his performance in spirit with the original work done by Tom Kenny. (Though I must confess that to me Alec does get a bit more points with me on how he sounded more elderly than Tom's work as the Mayor did. Granted the fact that Alec Willows seems to be a bit older than Tom Kenny probably helped though.)

So overall I must say that I liked them both and this is pretty much a tie as far as I am concerned.
