Kenny is a recurring supporting character in the Pokemon TV series who appeared in the Diamond and Pearl Arc in the Pokemon anime. Kenny is a coordinator in the Sinnoh region who is a friendly rival and old friend of Dawn (who he has given her the nickname "Dee Dee"). Kenny is a rather friendly boy who is not above doing some teasing but is a lot nicer about it compared to other rivals in the show and is very serious when it comes to his training (in which he was once helped by Olivine City Gym Leader Jasmine). While Kenny does not hate Ash but he was surprised that Dawn was traveling with him and has wished that Dawn would travel with him instead.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Pokemon VC section we take a look at Dawn's friendly rival... KENNY! Let us begin...Rhonda Krempa- Rhonda's voice for the role was pretty good as her performance for the role does suit Kenny's playful nature pretty well and is a pretty good example of the voice work in the TPCi dub of the show.
Erica Schroder- Erica's voice for the role is very good as its probably one of her better "little boy" voices (in which it does kind of sound like a slightly lower more subdued version of her Luffy voice). Erica's performance was also very good as it does suit Kenny's friendly nature rather well and is a good example of her work in the TV series.
Overall both of these ladies did pretty well with the role here but I will go with Erica a bit more here.

Rhonda sounds kinda bored and snobbish. Erica sounds realistic, energetic, and natural. So yeah, in this case I'll go for Erica.

Erica was definitely better fitting and sounding for Kenny.

Both were good, but yes, I have to go with Erica. She sounds much more energetic, passionate, and like a real boy.

No contest. Erica is MUCH better suited for this role. Rhonda's boy voice was weak, and her delivery was terrible.

My ranking for Kenny
1. Rhonda Krempa - Quite original sounding, she suits him quite nicely
2. Erica Schroeder - Suitable replacement, she sounds better here than in One Piece and Kappa Mikey

I would have to say that both voices have their faults: Krempa sounds snoobish and nasally, but seems to be a more genuine voice and higher pitched. Conversely, Schroeder sounds throaty and forced, but is not as nasally and more down-to-Earth.
I'm going to, in the end, say Schroeder fits slightly better.
