EDITOR'S OPINIONAlthough Thompson basically recycled his White Rabbit voice for the role of Smee, it fits well enough for the hapless, bumbling nature of this particular incarnation of the character. In terms of Burton's and Bennett's takes at standing in for the late Thompson, I'm leaning towards Bennett due to its accuracy compared to Burton. Quite impressive too in that Bennett's Smee hardly sounds anything like his usual stock voices. Gilbert's version of the character, while not outstanding, fits the part of an absent-minded minion decently enough, and it's pretty neat that they kept the Irish accent for Smee that J.M. Barrie originally intended for the character.
