EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Mighty Thor VC section we take a look at the "Token Brainiac" of the Wrecking Crew... THUNDERBALL! We will begin with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 in which Thunderball was voiced by Fred Tatasciore. Fred's voice for the role was pretty good however as for the performance well it wasn't bad but even all things considered Fred didn't exactly have all that much to work with. (As Thunderball had only one line whether its in the default dialogue or Special dialogue such as with Luke Cage.) But still Fred's work on the role is decent enough and an alright example of the voice work in that game.
Thunderball appeared for a few episodes in The Super Hero Squad Show in which Thunderball was voiced by Alimi Ballard. Alimi's voice for the role is basically his Falcon voice but deeper and dimmer, while I understand that some may be bothered by how Thunderball is depicted as being just as much of a "Dumb Muscle" as the other Wrecking Crew and I can understand that but Alimi's voice work is still pretty suiting for the role (well what the show was going for at least). But still aside from the intelligence issue Alimi's work as Thunderball was pretty good and a decent example of the voice work in the show here.
In Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes Thunderball appeared in one episode and was voiced by Gary Anthony Williams. Gary's voice and performance for the role were suiting for the role as he not only sounds like he is just as big and brawny as the other Wrecking Crew but is also considerably smarter as well. Unfortunately Thunderball was only in episode and had about a couple of lines and that was about it but I will say that Gary's work on the role does make one wish that Thunderball had at least a little more lines than he did though. So in other words Gary Anthony Williams' work as Thunderball was very fitting for the role and a good example of his and the show's voice work. Overall I am going with Gary Anthony Williams here as the other two weren't bad but Gary's work on the role was the most fitting.
(Update: Chi voiced Thunderball in Ultimate Spider-Man and his voice is pretty good for the role in which despite the fairly limited material he had Chi's work on the role is above average but I am still going with Gary here.)
