EDITOR'S OPINION
All these men had a great Thor voice in their own way; some better than others. My personal favorites are David Boat, Matthew Wolf and Rick Wasserman.Jackson_H

Chris Hemsworth actually sounds the best to me. He sounds very human to me in a way that the others simply do not. There's something about his performance that seems real to me, like he could be standing right next to me, as the character in the flesh while the others just sound like voice-actors in a gig.
Rick D Wasserman sounds pretty good too and he would be my second place, but Chris's work sounds a bit more grounded and genuine to me for some reason. Plus, I am always happy when a celebrity does a VO job and doesn't phone it in, that's a quality I admire in an actor and from what I can tell he certainly did not phone-in his performance.

I like James Arnold Taylor's Thor, but it has the inverse of the problem I have with Travis Willingham's Thor.
I think Travis lacks the princely quality that Thor should have as the future King of Asgard
JAT on the other hand sounds a bit too regal for Thor.
However both are still very good and ultimately tie for my number 2 spot. (#1 being Rick D. Wasserman)

@Music Meister Seems legit :-P I think he actually might make a decent Thor voice!

@Torak Yeah, take one of his deeper (yet not monstrous) voices like Daniel Pinkerton/Volstagg, or even one of his more "normal" voices like Beast/Ratchet/Ben 10,000/Detective Flass and throw a Thor-ish accent on it and it could definitely work.

I, for one, think Liam O'Brien should voice Thor, if they ever revived a Thor animated series.

JAT played Thor? Love the guy, but weird choice.

@Sokka2Me Sometimes the weirdest choices give the best results (not in this case, personally, but still...). JAT has a good accented voice that lends itself well to Thor. It's just a shame that he didn't have more lines.
Replysaid at 4:40 AM on Fri Mar 15 2013
@Sokka2Me Yeah, it's too close to his Obi-Wan for my taste. :-/
Replysaid at 3:48 PM on Thu Mar 7 2013
JAT surprised me he altered his Obi-Wan a lot to make it sound different but you can still hear it just barely. I was expecting him to just use his Obi-Wan voice but he did a good job and needs more material.

Any chance of Andrew Jackson's one-liner from MvC1 joining these?

@rosebr10 Providing there's an accessible clip somewhere in the forums and confirmation that he did indeed voice Thor, then I'm sure something can be arranged. ;)

Chris Wiggins - Good as the first voice of Thor.
John Rhys Davis - I love him as an actor and think he did a good job.
Dave Boat - My first Thor voice, and a good one at that. In the SHS, he was so hilarious! That show really showed off his range.
Cam Clarke - Good, pretty much his He-Man voice.
Michael Adamthwaite - Nice and deep without sounding forced.
Matthew Wolf - Lighter than other versions, but he sounds very natural.
Jim Cummings - I love you Jim, but your voice is just too recognizable.
Vic Perrin - OK
Rick Wasserman - When I first heard him, I thought he was trying way too hard. Now, he is my favorite Thor.
Daniel Thorn - Probably the weakest.
Chris Hemsworth - Like his movie performance, good.
Travis Willingham - A good voice, but he's trying too hard. Maybe he'll get better in the new Avengers series.

My vote goes to Wasserman. He gives Thor strength, but also a noble flare.
Boat's performance in "Ultimate Avengers" was the first voice of Thor I ever heard, so I can't hate him.
Willingham does have a proud air to his performance in a Dan Green kinda way. It's not bad.
Hemsworth is exactly as he is in the movie and he's great.

@Sarge Ray Well I hadn't heard Rick in a while when I saw I thought it might be Rick but since Avengers came on right after and had Thor I heard a difference. Giving other roles Travis has done It's not the first time he sounded like that but it sounds to me like a stronger, fiercer, version of Rick, Rick is generally calm when not fighting but sounds fierce in combat.

@pete I thought so too at first but listening to them more and more I think Travis sounds a little more British where Rick's accent is a bit more ambiguous in its European pitch.

Travis Willingham gets my vote, always possesses strength in his voice.
Replysaid at 2:26 PM on Sun May 27 2012
I vote for Chris Hemsworth, he really gives Thor that strong and heroic voice that he needs.
Rick D Wasserman is at a close second, he kind of sounds a little cartoony for Thor but he was great in MVC 3.
Cam Clarke, David Boat and Mathew Wolf are good too.
Jim Cummings sounds... a little too old unfortunately. And like someone else said Daniel Thorn sounds drunk, and that accent is VERY distracting.

Cam Clarke easily. His voice is strong and assertive. The other Thor voices are either too old sounding or just plain mock-like.
