MegaMan Volnutt

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of MegaMan Volnutt with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Mega Man

The protagonist of the Mega Man Legends series. Originally known as MegaMan Trigger, he was a Purifier Unit on Elysium who would eliminate any threats to the Master System which kept the Carbons on Terra safe. Sealed inside a ruin on Nino Island, he was then found and adopted by Barrell Caskett and renamed MegaMan Volnutt. He dislikes fighting and loves adventure.

Corey Sevier played Volnutt in the first Legends. Susan Roman took over for Legends 2.

I liked both performances. Since Corey sounded more like a real boy and gave a really believable take, I'm going with him.

One thing that really gets me about Corey's take is just how *natural*-sounding it is for a dub; he sounds like a real & naturally energetic kid - you'd never be able to tell that the rhythm & timing of the lines weren't originally his own & came from a very different language's performance. A lot of *adult* first-time dubbers don't fare nearly as well (ex: Kingdom Hearts).

Considering he has no other dubbing credits to his name, plus the fact this got dubbed in *1998*, that is extremely impressive.

Corey Sevier's take feels more authentically boyish, so I'm going with him here...but Susan Roman's pretty good, too.

Both takes are actually pretty solid IMO. I think I'll go with Susan Roman since I like her performance just a tad more though.

Corey Sevier's performance definitely feels authentic for this kid hero.

Susan Roman sounds too much like Sailor Jupiter in her take for my liking. I will say she's a solid voice match for Corey since he grew up.

Still I'm going with Corey on this one.

Corey is perfect.

Susan reminds me of her voice for Oliver fro Beyblade...good, but not as good as Corey.

Both of them are good but since MM Volnutt is older in MML2.... I'll have to go with Corey Sevier.

When I listen to Corey's lines, they sound like they were recorded while his voice was slowly maturing. Like all of his lines were recorded at different points when his voice was changing.

My little brother made me vote for Susan.

Corey, one of the best child actors at the time, like Haley Joel Osment.

It's pretty amazing how Legends got such a good cast vs. Mega Man 8 and Mega Man X4. I feel Corey Seiver outdid Mayumi Tanaka, probably because he's male and sounds good for the age range.

*looks a poll result 25 VS 7

I'm surprised there is no post from someone who prefers Susan so I'm the first to say I prefer Susan Roman

I was SO upset when they replaced Corey Sevier! He was PERFECT for Volnutt! :( What seriously confused me is that MegaMan is OLDER by a few years in MML2, and yet now he has a higher voice. -_- Really...what was Capcom thinking? Don't get me wrong, she does a good job acting, but the voice is just WRONG for an even older MegaMan Trigger.

They're both solid performances, but Corey is more natural for...well, a boy. With Susan Roman, I can hear Sailor Jupiter.

All of the voice-acting in these games hold up pretty well, Corey is definitely better though.

Unlike Ruth or Colleen as Megaman, Megaman X, and Megaman exe. Susan did a good job here though still going with Corey.

Both were really good, but I guess in the end you can't beat the natural sound of an actual teen voicing a teen. Even so I still loved Susan Roman's take almost as much it sounded similar to Corey's and at times I felt her acting a little more polished. It's tough but my vote goes to Corey even though I really enjoyed Susan's as well

both are good, but since he sounded more like a 14 year old boy(because he was one) his is a little better, its a shame that he couldn't do the voice for mml2.

Corey was pretty young in the 90s (in his teens). So he pretty much was a boy at the time.

@D20Watt Yeah, I know. What I meant is that made him sound more natural.
