Yes folks believe it or not Fire Man will be the first Robot Master from Wily that will have a Voice Compare here. Fire Man made appearances in Captain N (with a rather "inaccurate" design) and the US Mega Man Animated series (with a perfectly accurate game design) but he never had speaking roles in either show.

Believe it or not Fire Man's first English speaking role was his Net Navi counterpart in the English dub of the Mega Man Battle Network anime voiced by Ross Douglas. Granted I know that unfortunately for some reason the dub had to call him Torch Man (while I don't know for sure if that's the case but I heard Kids WB wanted that to happen so kids won't mistake Fire Man for a Fire Fighter... yeah lets just say I hope that wasn't true.) But say what you will on the "Executive Treatment" that the show got but Ross wasn't all that bad in this role. Perfect? No, one of the show's best performances? No but its certainly not bad.

In Mega Man Powered Up we have VA Roger Rhodes voicing the original version of Fire Man. Now I am not saying that Roger Rhodes is a bad VA (heck he was great as Chibodee Crocket in G Gundam) but whats with the silly Southern accent? I suppose its not really bad but he might have done better without it for this role.

Neither are seemingly perfect but I am thinking of going with Ross Douglas a bit more here.

While the Yosemite Sam voice for Fire Man was jarring at first, I quickly grew to love Roger's take on him. His energy and delivery is both fantastic and hilarious, and gives Fire Man a lot of personality that's fitting for a siller, lighthearted game like Powered Up.

Ross is still good and makes FireMan.EXE sound evil and intimidating, though it's nowhere near as fun as Roger's.

I actually think that Christopher Corey Smith would work better as Fireman. He did excellent as Nobunaga Oda, Fire Emblem Awakening, and in Funimation.

I grew up more with Megaman EXE and I might have gone for Ross, but the whole Southern accent and pyromania Roger gave him changed my mind. It's awesome.

You don't like the Southern accent? I think it makes the voice stand out from the others and it actaully really fits. Ross does well for a more serious Fireman though

@Music Meister Exactly! As a matter of fact, I think the accent adds a very nice touch!
