Alright folks for the latest VC for the Marvel Universe section here is a little something for one of the members of the Avengers namely this flight based fellow namely FALCON! Falcon's voice acted debut was in the semi-obscure late 90's series "Avengers United They Stand" in which he is voiced by Martin Roach. Say what you will about how the show itself has a kind of lukewarm reception but Martin Roach did rather well with the role. Martin's voice felt quite natural for the role and his performance was pretty fitting and is probably one of the better performances in that show and one of the better performances from what I've heard from Martin so far.

About a decade later Falcon gets another shot to be in a voice acted role again with the Super Hero Squad Show where he is voiced by Alimi Ballard in which Falcon is one of his only VA roles so far but I will say this much he does show a decent amount of potential here. Like a good portion of the SHSS cast Falcon's voice is a bit higher than it has in the past but Alimi does make it work. Alimi's performance as Falcon does suit the role pretty well for this show as Alimi does do a pretty good job playing off with his fellow cast members in the show. Overall its a somewhat above average performance in general its a pretty good example of the Voice acting in the series. While I suppose I do prefer Martin Roach a bit more both of these guys did pretty well for this role.

My favorite performance for Falcon is actually Bumper Robinson. He brings alot of personality to the role and it's the closest as to how I imagined him sounding.

Alimi Ballard is a close second. A great standout from the Super Hero Squad Show

Martin Roach is pretty decent at the role. I don't personally think he should be winning the poll but I can understand why he is.

ASAP Rocky is pretty average in this role. Granted it is his first voiceover role so I can be a bit more forgiving about it. The voice he used is oretty good but it needs polishing.

Lance Reddick is just a huge miscast. It's up there with Winter Soldiers questionable casting in the same show. For every great/decent performance in EMH there is also some really bad ones. Lance Reddick falls into this category.

I'm changing my vote to Bumper Robinson, the more I think about it, the more I like his portrayal of the character more.

He does his own thing in the current cartoons playing the young rookie Falcon but also at the same time, I think he has the potential to work as a older version of Falcon and he's even played an Anthony Mackie MCU inspired version of the character.

I'd love to hear how he sounds in Marvel Heroes playing Captain Falcon but right now I can't find any audio of him.

Still I'm sure he has the range to pull it off.

I still like Alimi Ballard but his take a bit too high pitch now than I listen to it.

1. Bumper Robinson: He nails the personality, voice and just adds the most to the role.

2. Alimi Ballard: He has some of the same qualities as Bump-Bump but a little too young sounding and a little too quippy.

3. Martin Roach: I can understand why he's winning, he has a good deep and a 'nice guy' quality to him. He's just a little bland for me taste.

4. ASAP Rocky: He has a cool deep voice and a rather (prepare for cheesey pun) fly voice (no regrets) but I think the odd voice direction and the fact that this is ASAP's first VA role kills his delivery on some lines. I think if he reprises at one point he could polish it off a bit.

5. Lance Reddick: Some one needs to explain his popularity to me, he sounds stiff, dry, and bored and his voice doesn't even fit Falcon. Plus he has like 5 lines in the whole series. Up there with some of EMH's most questionable castings.

VC thoughts update

Lance Reddick might have been a little bit too dry in the role, but I do sense a lot of potential. I wish he takes another crack at the role.

Martin Roach is also pretty cool. His delivery is solid and he does fit the character quite well.

Bumper Robinson is pretty cool too. Very energetic and enjoyable.

Alimi Ballard fits the SHS version quite well. He has a pretty energetic delivery and he manages to be quite amusing.

ASAP Rocky is okay, but his delivery tends to sound kinda odd at places. Still, quite solid.

Martin Roach may not be the most distinct of these guys, but he's by far the best voice for Falcon I've ever heard. He voices Sam with the right amount of confidence and he sounds perfectly age appropriate for what I imagine Comic Falcon sounding like.

I know it's people's opinion, but I have no clue as to why Lance Reddick is so high on the poll. I enjoy a lot of his work, but is way too old and stiff sounding. EMH is a great show, I know, but this was one of the worst castings for any character I've ever heard.

You know what? I actually like Alimi Ballard best. I think Falcon having a lighter, funny fast talking type of voice fits the character nicely.

Bumper Robinson is a close second, he's good though he's not as unique as Alimi's take and the source material I feel doesn't help him either.

Martin Roach was excellent as a more experienced Falcon in UTS, maybe the best casting in the entire show.

Lance Reddick was really miscast as Falcon, he sounds too old, boring and dry in the role. We never got to know Falcon personally in the show either as he was brainwashed the entire time. Probably my least favourite casting in EMH.

BONUS: I've always thought Reno Wilson would be the absolute perfect voice for Falcon, that's actually why I voted for Alimi Ballard as his voice reminds me of him the most. Doron Bell Jr. would be great as Falcon too.

Falcon was somewhat wasted in EMH, and Reddick was wasted even more. He only appeared in a few episodes with limited dialogue and in both the episodes he had dialogue he was under Red Skull's control. He never got to show his true potential, which is a real shame.

UTS beating EMH? Martin Roach is closest to my ideal Falcon here, though Khary Payton is my number 1 choice. Lance does sound boring. Don't have much issues regarding Season 2, compared to everyone else, but yeah like FulgOre2005 this was probably casting choice EMH made, and one of the worst aspects of Season 2.

@pete *but yeah like Fulgore2005 said this was probably the worst casting choice EMH made.

Martin is my favourite here so he gets my vote here.

Bumper is also pretty good so he is 2nd for me.

Lance is ok. He sounds kinda boring at times but nevertheless average.

Alimi was a bit too high pitched for my tastes.

Out of the ones here, Im going with Roach, but Anthony Mackie in looks, voice, and performance is a perfect Falcon. And I hope like RDJ, Evans, and Hemsworth he gets the chance to voice Falcon somewhere.

@Bookman230 Chris Evans? He voiced Cap
said at 1:57 PM on Thu Jun 5 2014
@Music Meister Aye, that's my point. RDJ voiced Tony in the Iron Man 2 game, Hemsworth voiced Thor in the Thor game, and Evans voiced Cap in his game. Following in their footsteps, I hope Mackie can get an opportunity to voice the Falcon.

Khary Payton as Falcon, anyone?
said at 9:54 AM on Mon Jan 6 2014
I've yet to hear the perfect voice for Falcon, but Lance Reddick comes the closest.

I know it's not very inspired casting, but I think Phil LaMarr would be perfect as Falcon.
said at 10:07 AM on Mon Jan 6 2014
@TheVengeanceKnight Well aside from Lance coming closest I agree with this completely, even that I was thinking Phil would make a great Falcon.

Martin Roach's Falcon is my favourite from UTS. I'm voting for him.

Lance sounds really dull and boring in the role, almost as if he was half-asleep. With all due respect, this is possibly the worst from EMH.

I think all four are pretty good, yes, even Alimi. Obviously Alimi and Bumper's are meant to be younger versions of the character when compared to Lance and Martin's, but my vote is going to Bumper. Lance would be a close second.

@Music Meister When he spoke, his voiced was kinda jarring to me. I guess I was used to SHS Falcon. Oh well, Bumper isstill good, but I hold by my thought that I still think he can do better. Like how I enjoy his Bumblebee, but still think with some tweeking it could be perfect.
