Boomerang

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Boomerang with sound clips and images.

Boomerang is a Marvel Comics supervillain who first appeared in Tales to Astonish #81. Fred Myers was born in Australia, but moved to the United States as a child and grew up to be a pitcher for a major league team. However, he was caught accepting bribes and was suspended from the team. Myers then became a criminal and joined a criminal organization called Secret Empire. They gave him a colorful costume and gave him the codename 'Boomerang', and arm him with an arsenal of gimmicked boomerangs. During his criminal career, he has fought off many superheroes such as Spider-Man, Daredevil, and others. While Boomerang has no super human abilities, he has the ability to throw anything with amazing accuracy akin to the likes of Bullseye and Hawkeye.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Boomerang has always been portrayed as a supervillain for hire and the portrayals here reflect that. All three voice actors play Boomerang as a straight up hired goon and they did just fine at that role, though Rob Cowan and Jim Cummings did attempt an Australian accent for him.

Jim was the most menacing and had a good accent.
Rob was...well I don't know. It sounded good but he barley had lines (which is one of the things that bothered me about the show, they threw characters at you but never devople them)

Paul is...okay, kinda generic.

I'm gonna go with Jim Cummings as his Boomerang was more menacing.

Going with Rob Cowan because Jim used his typical villain voice and mixed it with an Austrailian accent . It's still good but Rob did a straight off accent even if it was a bit high That being said I think he should be in the Spidey VC. Beetle is and he isn't even a Spidey villain officially where Boomerang is I'm pretty sure as they've fought time and time again.

@pete Like the description says, he's also fought Daredevil, so this VC's fine where it is.

@pokemastanumba1 Yeah but nowadays he's mainly a Spidey villain. He hates Spidey the most and has been a member of several anti-Spidey groups. He' fought Spider-Man more than any other hero. Beetle is under he Spidey VC when he shouldn't be because he's not just a Spidey villain but Boomerang has become one over the years..

@pokemastanumba1 I don't remember where the thread or exactly what the title is since it was over a month ago and the admins I asked including UltimateCharm didn't answer. Guess they know what they're doing and their decisions are final.
