OK the picture for Absorbing man on The Marvel Super Heroes looks like The Thing.

@Shaun Ince And David Hooe sounds like Dave Boat's thing.

Maybe he absorbed something though in that pic?

Rick D. Wasserman was awesome as Absorbing Man. I love how deep, menacing and cruel sounding he was in the role, he helped make Carl "Crusher" Creel sound like a force to be reckoned with instead of just any ordinary thug.

Jonathan Adams is a close second, it's cool to hear him step away from his usual regal type of villain to voicing a brute and he ad a lot of personality too, one of the standouts in Agents of SMASH.

Jim Cummings was also a pretty good fit for Creel too.

David Hope sounds a lot like John DiMaggio and is a good fit for Creel too.
Oliver Becker sounds maybe a bit too light for my liking.

If the UVA is Len Carlson, well I'm sorry but it doesn't work for the Absorbing Man having him sound like Popeye.

Overall Rick D. Wasserman left the most of an impression on me and has my vote, but Jonathan Adams is just as impressive too.

BONUS: I'd like to see John DiMaggio, Paul Dobson or Richard Epcar have a shot at voicing The Absorbing Man.

@Autovolt Honestly I think David Hope is DiMaggio, if you check his profile that's listed as an alias.
said at 12:48 PM on Wed Mar 16 2016
@pete Dang I was wrong on the profile part, but still convinced.

@SupremeTarantulas Actuall I feel it sounds more like David Boat, if anything.
said at 12:40 PM on Thu Apr 27 2017
@huzaifa_ahmed Actually it does sounds like David Boat's Thing.

Was he potentially miscredited as David Hope, or was that a slightly change alias?
said at 2:16 PM on Thu Apr 27 2017
@SupremeTarantulas Latter I think. No way of confirming though.

@huzaifa_ahmed David Boat has no social media or anything like that to help?
said at 5:03 PM on Thu Apr 27 2017
@SupremeTarantulas Sadly, nope.

I didn't think about this until now, but Rick sounds eerily like Paul Dobson

@kando123 Yeah, he sounds like Paul Dobson as Juggernaut. Very similar voices.
said at 9:25 AM on Thu Apr 27 2017
@Shaun Ince @kando123 I think they're close (deep but really calm & not usually aggressive), but Rick is notably deeper IME. If you listen to Juggernaut after Absorbing Man, you'll notice Paul lacks some of Rick's weight. It is relatively close, though. Personally I think Rick sounds most like Vin Diesel.

I think all of them are pretty good, except for the UVA who sounds like Popeye. But, my favorite is Rick Wasserman. He sounds very tough and threatening. He also sounds a lot like Clancy Brown here.

Jonathan Adams is a pretty close second. I like that he did something different than the voice he normally uses. That voice is awesome, but I don't think it would fit Absorbing Man.

Sure hope the actual John DiMaggio does him soon not just impersonators.

@pete Don't know about you, but I really don't think that "being a John DiMaggio impersonator" was high on any VA or voice director's priority for any of these titles... the fact that David Hope sounds like John does not equal "the voice compare has some John impersonators".
said at 3:16 PM on Thu Nov 21 2013
@TylerMirage Best word I can think of. Unless of David is an alias for John. Should have just said sound-alikes.

At first, I thought Jonathan Adams was Scott McNeil for a second.

@Troodon2 Quesada/Loeb would never base any of their acting in Vancouver, so that would've been unlikely anyway.

@Troodon2 It *does* sound like McNeil at the beginning, I'll give you that.

@Troodon2 More like John DiMaggio.

@CatsTuxedo He did voices for Mucha Lucha and El Tigre.
said at 8:11 PM on Sun Nov 17 2013
@Troodon2 A good part of the cast for Mucha Lucha was based in Vancouver anyway, and I'm not finding anything about Scott being in El Tigre in any form.

@CatsTuxedo Could be a credits goof.

Rick is still my fav, but Jonathan is very interesting. Glad he didn't go for his normal Atrocitus/Kang/Vaatu voice, even though I love that voice.

Jonathan is really good and catches the gruff voice of Absorbing man really well, but I still feel Rick did the much more interesting performance. One I feel rick sounds extremely menacing and his deep voice fits the thug so well, plus it's hard not to find that one of the most intimidating voices ever.

Jonathan is m new favorite. This is a nice change of pace for him, his New York accent is well done and has the power in his voice. Plus he had a good amount of energy for the role.

1. Rick Wasserman- He got the deep gruff and menacing voice that fits Absorbing Man, I wish he tryed a New York accent like Jim and Oliver but that's my only complaint.

2. Jim Cummings- Not as deep or gruff but fits for the mobster style they were going for Crusher and the accent fits really well. It was threatening and tough.

3. Oliver Becker- Should have been gruffer but the deepness and accent fits but isn't really menacing enough.

4. David Hope- Not bad but needed some gruffness and maybe an accent would have helped. Or maybe just more lines would have been better.
