Maybe there should be a poll for who was the best voice *besides* Mel Blanc. Let the other 5 actors for Bugs duel it out.

I'd have to say my favorite replacement for the great Mel Blanc is Joe Alaskey. Jeff Bergman is a good sound-alike, but he doesn't give enough heart into it. Greg Burson and Billy West are both great too. My least favorite is Noel Blanc. Even if that's not him in that clip, I've heard him before, and he's not too good

1. Mel Blanc - Classic/Memorable
2. Jeff Bergman - Quite an improvement for The Looney Tunes Show
3. Greg Burson - Sounds like a mix of both Mel and Jeff
4. Joe Alaskey - Seems accurate for the most part, but I find him too high sounding
5. Billy West - Given that the voice clip sounds like Fry, he's improved in recent performances
6. Noel Blanc - I find him too nasally for Bugs

I personally think Jeff Bergman is best at voicing Bugs.

If you voted for anyone besides Mel, you are a bad person.

@solidejake Not true!
It's not like we're forced to vote for Mel

1: Mel Blanc end of story...sorry but I don't care for any of the replacements after Mel passed away.
Replysaid at 12:37 AM on Wed Oct 31 2012
I like Alaskey out of all the replacement voices then Billy West, Then Jeff Bergman, Then Greg Burson, then Noel Blanc. NUmber 1 is of course Mel himself.

1. Mel Blanc- Blanc is the definitive voice for Bugs
2. Joe Alaskey- this is much close to bugs regular tone and Alaskey does a great job at it
3. Jeff Bergman- Its very close to sounding like Blanc but not my favorite
4. Billy West- It sounds a little too high for bugs but its still a great impression
5. Noel Blanc- While I think he has too few lines he does sound good as bugs
6- Greg Burson- I don't know what it is, it just sounds kind of flat for bugs

Anyone who compares Billy's Bug voice to Fry needs to watch this:

No disrespect to any of the others. I don't think any of them are bad, but there will only ever be one Mel. Thanks Mel, we miss you!!!

Is the Noel Blanc clip actually Noel Blanc? Bugs' one line in the Tiny Toons Christmas special is sometimes attributed to Noel, but Greg Burson did other voices in that, and it sounds to me like Burson doing Bugs there too.

Of course Mel Blanc nails it, but I'd say the best imitator is Joe Alaskey. He not only captures Bugs' voice, but his personality as well! Jeff Bergman is decent, but he doesn't really capture Bugs' personality as well.

Actually Jeff Bergman is pretty accurate the rest are a tad off
Replysaid at 9:37 PM on Wed Dec 21 2011
No replacement is accurate they're either too high pitched or too laid back but I'll go with Joe Alaskey

Not dissing the others but no one comes CLOSE to Mel Blanc, the voice acting God himself, as Bugs Bunny.

Jeff Bergman's Bugs voice sounds closer to Mel Blanc but so does Greg Burson

I honestly will say, that all these men did the same and excellent jobs at Bugs Bunny. All are great!
Replysaid at 8:20 PM on Sat Sep 3 2011
None of them are bad, but honestly... who wouldn't choose Mel Blanc? Everyone else is just imitating him anyway.
Replysaid at 8:08 PM on Sat Sep 3 2011
So hard to choose between Mel Bland and Joe Alaskey as they're my favourites. :D
Replysaid at 10:47 PM on Wed Aug 31 2011
I am *not* going to even bother rating these VAs based on performance as Mel Blanc is the winner for painfully obvious reasons. ;D
Replysaid at 10:46 PM on Sat Aug 27 2011
I don't know why people don't think Billy's version was good. Most of the others (exculding the legend himself Mel Blnac) sound like their forcing it while Billy's comes naturally
Replysaid at 10:51 PM on Thu Aug 25 2011
Jeff Bergman sounds the closest to Mel Blanc out of all of them.
Replysaid at 2:24 PM on Fri Jul 8 2011
Between Mel, Jeff, and Billy, I will be the minority and just spit it out: Jeff Bergman is the true successor to the legendary Mel Blanc... Not to say that Billy West was bad since I've seen Space Jam in my childhood (I rarely knew voice differences since I had, like, a cranium with hardly much intellect), but he seems much better in other roles (say, for example, Frylock in Futurama or Doug Funnie from Doug)
Replysaid at 11:21 PM on Tue May 17 2011
Greg Burson and Billy West are pretty good, too.
Replysaid at 11:20 PM on Tue May 17 2011
Obviously, Mel's the best, but I honestly think Joe's second best. He's certainly the best modern Daffy, and his Bugs is equally good. Jeff's OK, but kind of bland.

I won't compare Mel to the others, I'll only compare the succesours! Noel Blanc is halfway decent, Billy West is average at best but has done better on other projects, Greg Burson, (R.I.P.), was pretty darn close and it's sad he's left us, Joe Alaskey is fairly good but he sounds too laid back and relaxed, Jeff Bergman is by far the best here as he sounds nearly just like Blanc, for that he gets my vote for best Post-Blanc Bugs! :)

Sorry for the typos. Let me rewrite that...
"I listened to the clips again. Joe Alaskey's Bugs sounds too similar to Billy West's version. And that's not good to me.
Jeff Bergman is perfect. I'm so glad Warner Bros. decided to rehire him as Bug's (and Daffy's) new voice actor."

Jeff Bergman is perfect. His Bugs and Daffy voices are indistinguishable from Mel's. Watch "Box Office Bunny", "Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers", and "Blooper Bunny".
Billy West is ok, but his impression isn't "nasely" enough.
Joe Alaskey is good, but he's slightly off. His Sylvester is perfect though.
Noel Blanc is meh, he clearly didn't inherit his fathers voice talent.
Overall, I pick Jeff Bergman and Joe Alaskey. After 20 years, Jeff is once again doing Bugs and Daffy for the new Looney Tunes Show (Cartoon Network, 2011).

Well, I'd say a poll for the "best replacement" would be more to the point. Of course Blanc is the best Bugs voice ever!

It would look pretty foolish not to have him included though lmao

Also want to add that it's ridiculous to include Blanc in the "Who's the best Bugs voice" poll. Everyone else is merely trying to imitate HIM!

They should have stuck with Bergman. His Bugs is really the least successful of his Blanc voices. But his Daffy in Box Office Bunny is virtually indistinguishable from Blanc, MILES better than Alaskey ever has been. (And his Elmer is even spot on!) It would be nice if these great characters had ONE replacement voice artist, so we'd know what they were going to sound like, and that person should be Bergman.

I gotta go with Mel on this one. Bergman and Burson have awesome imitations and I dont mind Alaskey's either.
Billy West is by far my least favorite Bugs Voice though.

Whoo! 1000 voice compares! And who better to celebrate with?
All I can say is that all of them do a great job capturing Bugs' essence. I think Billy West and Joe Alaskey were the best substitutes. But in this case... you just can't deny the legendary Mel Blanc.

1. Jeff Bergman(90's)
2. Joe Alaskey
3. Billy West
4. Greg Burson
5. Noel Blanc(To be fair though, he only had few lines. If he had more material I would rank him Third.)
6. Jeff Bergman(The Looney Tunes Show)
