Kinda wish Billy West got more work as Bugs. I like his take. :)

Even though he's not added here I want to comment on Eric Goldberg's take on Bugs Bunny in Looney Tunes: Back In Action with the one line "Doesn't anyone knock anymore?". Even with that one piece of dialogue he actually sounded pretty good. Makes me wish even more that Eric could've had more to work with in voicing the characters.

 1 Shout Out!
1. Mel Blanc - of course!
2. Jeff Bergman/Noel Blanc (tied) - Both Jeff and Noel sound equally good, and they did a great, spot-on impression of Mel; and Noel, just as a sidenote, isn't very good at his other LT roles, so the fact he's good at Bugs is amazing.
3. Joe Alaskey - maybe just a tad too nasally, but he did an excellent job with the character (RIP!)
4. Greg Burson - also did a really good job with the character. Sometimes, he sounds off, but he did a great job overall.
5. Billy West - the controversial pick; I actually like West's performance, he was going more for his own thing rather than a straight-up Blanc impression, and it TOTALLY works!
6. Bill Farmer - he isn't on the compare, but I'm listing him anyway. He did the voice on Robot Chicken. While all of his other LT roles have been terrific, his Bugs isn't that great, the voice is too deep and nasally.

I'm not counting Samuel Vincent, as he voiced a baby version of the character.

Mel Blanc is friggin' king, short and sweet. I really don't think any replacement got Bugs right.

Well, except Jeff Bergman. He was again, spot on in his earliest years as Bugs. I'd chalk it up to age making him sound worse in 2011 to now, but Billy West still does Space Jam Bugs well in interviews. Hopefully voice direction will steer Jeff back to his old take one day, cause right now he sounds really weak.

Greg Burson does a really great take on Bugs after 90's Jeff, although you could hear a bit of a stretch in his I's and enunciated S's. I wish he kept being Bugs, his take is pretty interesting.

Joe Alaskey is a serviceable Bugs, but I hear too much of him, yeah. A little too raspy and nasally, even a bit too old.

Billy West's take is charming, but I hear more of him than Bugs Bunny. That and he sounds too high pitched.

Keith Scott (from that one Australian KFC commercial) sounds REALLY weird. He makes Bugs sound more high pitched than Billy, and has an accent he's really trying hard to surpass, and you can hear it. Really uncomfortable.

I really don't think Noel Blanc voiced Bugs at all (sounds like Greg in that clip), he wasn't credited for it. If it is him though, he did a pretty good job.

1. Mel Blanc
2. Jeff Bergman (90's)
3. Greg Burson
4. Joe Alaskey
5. Billy West
6. Jeff Bergman (now)

@Ghosty404 You know what's really interesting? While Bergman got worse as both Bugs & Daffy in later years, his Sylvester & Tweety, which weren't so good back then, got much better in recent years.

No one can top Mel Blanc here. He created the role and made it iconic. He WAS Bugs Bunny.

As for the others, Jeff Bergman does a pretty good job especially with the accent. Shame Noel had only one line since it sounds like he had potential. Burson is okay but not too great.

Billy West I think sounds fine. Not great but not bad. Alaskey on the other hand sounds like his Tweety voice but deepened.

Mel Blanc gets my vote for the best Bugs Bunny voice. It's his most popular & iconic role & it's not hard to see why. The combination of two different New York accents & fusing them together to craft this voice was nothing short of genius.

Jeff Bergman comes the the closest when it comes to all of his successors. It did get worse in the Looney Tunes Show, but not by a whole lot. But it's noticeable.

Burson is pretty solid as well. It does sound more nasally when compared to Bergman & Blanc however but not enough to hinder it completely.

Joe Alaskey is pretty good, but he sounds really nasally in his clip. Joe was much bettter as Daffy, his Bugs here not so much.

Noel Blanc had potential. It's a shame he didn't get more opportunites to voice Bugs.

Billy West sounds way too high pitched and the impression/emulation is inconsistent.

"Eh What's Up Doc?"

How could I not give my vote to the great Mel Blanc, He MADE the role of Bugs Bunny a cultural iconic. His New York accent and his clever wise guy attitude just all comes together and it just works.

The rest of his successors are all noble efforts at replicating Mel's performance but I feel nobody truly comes close to him.

I guess Greg Burson and Jeff Bergman were the closest in terms of sound though Bergman's more recent performances haven't been that great, he sounds too high pitch and manic for my liking.

Billy West and Joe Alaskey definitely go more for a emulation that a spot impression, in a way that's good since they are making the role their own but I find it's maybe too noticeable that I can hear more of their natural voices in their performances.

Noel Blanc, I'm kind of disappointed Mel's own son isn't as good as he should have been. It's a shame he didn't have more time to work with the role.

Overall I have to give it to Mel because how could I not do so?

1. Mel Blanc- The dude was excellent as Bugs, IMO he was bucks. He brought the character to life with his clever personality and mixture of a Brooklyn and Bronx accent.
2. Joe Alaskey- I personally enjoyed his take on Bugs,I liked the accent, the pitch and the speech pattern of his Bugs, not to mention I enjoyed the material he worked with when playing bugs.
3. Jeff Bergman/Greg Burson- I call a tie on this one, they both did near flawless impressions of Bugs. (Pre LTS) Bergman Bugs reminds me of Blanc's younger performance of Bugs while Burson's Bug's reminds me of Blanc's performance in his later years. Nowadays Bergman's Bugs (and his Daffy) lack the energy and enthusiasm he used to have.
4. Noel Blanc- Great impression of his father's take shame he didn't get enough material to work with.
5. Billy West- I never was a fan of his Bugs, a little bit too high pitched, the speech pattern is a little off and his Fry voice is very audible on his take. I'd take LTS Bergman Bugs over Billy's any day of the week.

Since Mel is the obvious winner here, I'm gonna say Jeff Bergman is the best out of all the sound-alikes.

Dang, this is incredibly close.

1. Mel Blanc - Come on, do I really need to explain? ;)
2. Joe Alaskey - Him and Bergman are neck and neck for second, but I'll give it to Joe since he's been more consistent in sounding like Mel.
3. Jeff Bergman - He was pretty spot on in his early years.. lately, not so much.
4. Billy West - The underdog of this compare; I really love how he made Bugs his own, while keeping true to that looney spirit.
5. Greg Burson - Eeeh.. don't like how he enunciates his S's. Sounds like that particular clip has him sounding low-key.
6. Noel Blanc - Ton of potential, could've been higher than Greg and Billy if he had way more lines.

Mel Blanc- Okay, I don't usually care who is the original voice, I only go by sound, because that's what voice compare is, but Mel Blanc NAILED the creation of this character.

Joe Alaskey- This is the worst sound clip ever. Joe's voice is actually really good for Bugs Bunny!!! Watch Looney Tunes Back in Action! He puts a nice twist on it.

Jeff Bergman- Just like Galactic_Cyrus said: Frighteningly accurate!

Greg Burson- Good! But a bit too deep for Bugs.

Billy West- Too High! Easily Recognisable!!!

Mel Banc-Perfect in every way, after all, he is a man of 1000 voices.
Noel Blanc-The son of Mel Blanc, and a perfect successor.
Jeff Bergman-Gives Bugs personality, feeling, and a voice that sounds really natural.
Greg Burson-sounds older, but still sounds very natural.
Billy West-Jolly and light hearted, like the cartoon icon he is
Joe Alaskey-Sounds like Porky trying to sound like Bugs with no studders. He sounds okay though.
They aren't all bad, but they each have a special charm to them.

I'm one of the few who prefer some of the replacement over Bugs(Billy West and Jeff Bergman)
On the list of replacements
1 Billy West-Then again the first post Mel Blanc stuff I have seen back then were all voiced by Billy West(the Lost in time games, the racing game on the PS1)
2 Jeff Bergman(mainly his earlier voicing)
3 Noel Blanc
4 Joe Alasky(the first thing I thought when playing the Looney Tunes Back in action is man his voice is awkward and the movie version is not much better
5 Greg Burson- And this one sounds even worse pity he died though

1. Jeff Bergman(90's)
2. Joe Alaskey
3. Billy West
4. Greg Burson

I'd have to say my favorite replacement for the great Mel Blanc is Joe Alaskey. Jeff Bergman is a good sound-alike, but he doesn't give enough heart into it. Greg Burson and Billy West are both great too. My least favorite is Noel Blanc. Even if that's not him in that clip, I've heard him before, and he's not too good

2. Jeff Bergman - Quite an improvement for The Looney Tunes Show
3. Greg Burson - Sounds like a mix of both Mel and Jeff
4. Joe Alaskey - Seems accurate for the most part, but I find him too high sounding

Between Mel, Jeff, and Billy, I will be the minority and just spit it out: Jeff Bergman is the true successor to the legendary Mel Blanc... Not to say that Billy West was bad since I've seen Space Jam in my childhood (I rarely knew voice differences since I had, like, a cranium with hardly much intellect), but he seems much better in other roles (say, for example, Frylock in Futurama or Doug Funnie from Doug)

Whoo! 1000 voice compares! And who better to celebrate with?

All I can say is that all of them do a great job capturing Bugs' essence. I think Billy West and Joe Alaskey were the best substitutes. But in this case... you just can't deny the legendary Mel Blanc.
