Voice Compare » Lilo & Stitch » Cobra Bubbles
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Cobra Bubbles with sound clips and images.
EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Lilo & Stitch VC section we have a little something for that Social Worker whom is known as a "Special Case that is used when things go wrong" is none other than... COBRA BUBBLES! We shall start this off with the original Lilo & Stitch movie in which he was voiced by Ving Rhames. First of all I must say that Ving was quite a natural in the role with his rather suitably deep voice and his performance can go from deadpan to rather menacing to even a bit more lets just say understanding later on in the film. I also liked on how Ving's performance can make Cobra sound menacing and yet suits on how Cobra is more of a Social Worker whom is doing his job than anything else. Overall Ving Rhames' work on Cobra Bubbles is just simply another fine example of the voicework in the original Lilo & Stitch movie. While Ving did reprise his role as Cobra Bubbles in the Lilo & Stitch DTV movies that he appeared in, Cobra has briefly appeared in the Lilo & Stitch TV series, Kevin Michael Richardson briefly took over the role in the series. Fortunately Kevin's Cobra voice doesn't sound too similar to his Gantu voice (in which Kevin's Cobra voice does sound like Kevin is trying to sound like Keith David here but I am certainly not complaining). While Kevin's voice for Cobra is a bit different from Ving's it still does work rather well as Kevin's performance does suit Cobra pretty well. (In fact the only problem I have for Kevin's performance as Cobra is that Kevin wasn't given much to work with since Cobra only briefly appeared in the show.) Overall both of these performances are good in their own way but I suppose I will go with Ving Rhames a bit more anyways.

Kevin actually does a pretty darn good Keith David impersonation. I didn't even realize he took over for Tombstone in Spectacular Spider-Man until I looked it up one day.
