Kairi

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Kairi with sound clips and images.

Kairi is one of the main protagonists in the Kingdom Hearts series in which she has been a part of the series since right from the start. Kairi is a friendly teenage girl whom once lived in Destiny Islands with dear friends such as Sora, Riku along with Final Fantasy characters Tidus, Wakka and Selphie. However during a sailing incident Kairi, Sora and Riku were separated by a mysterious force that attacked the island in which Sora went out on his journey to save her. While Kairi was initially a damsel in distress her role gets substantially bigger over the course of the series such as she is a Princess of Heart and has a "Nobody" by the name of Namine.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Today on the Kingdom Hearts VC section we take a look at this leading lady of the KH series... KAIRI! Lets begin...

Hayden Panettiere- While Hayden's voice for the role has gone slightly different over the course of the series (and even occasionally inconsistent after KH1) but it is still rather cute and works with the role well. Hayden's performance suited Kairi's friendly and endearing nature rather well and is a fine example of the voice work in the KH series.

Alyson Stoner- While Alyson does sound noticeably different from Hayden, fortunately this is not a bad thing as Alyson's voice for the role is cute and soft which works with the role well. Alyson's performance was also very good as it does suit Kairi's kind and gentle persona rather well in which she was a fine alternative to Hayden if I do say so myself.

Overall both of these ladies did very well with the role here so I am not sure who to go with here.

thanks for the new KH compare Pokejedservo! Id go with Panettiere being she is the original VA but Stoner does an excellent job as well. I'm interested to hear Panettiere as Xion in KH 3D.

They're both okay, but I inevitably have to go with Panetierre. Stoner does a better job as Xion.

If I had to choose, I'd have to go with Hayden.

Also, am I the only one who wants to see Kairi in action? I think it's time she stopped waiting for Sora and Riku and kicked some Heartless butt herself.

I'll go with Hayden Panettiere for her KH2 performance which I thought was excellent and very fitting. Still I wonder what Alyson would sound like if she had a KH2 Kairi take.
