EDITOR'S OPINION
Yes folks this is the 3rd time in a row I have done a VC for a character from the CLASSIC that is Kiki's Delivery Service and this time is Osono whom is easily one of the better motherly figures in anime. (Though yeah I know when it comes to parents in anime that are alive and well that's not quite saying much.)In the 1990 English dub from Streamline pictures that was made for Japan Airlines she was voiced by Alexandra Kenworthy. Alexandra's performance as Osono was well the first time I ever heard her but she did make a pretty good first impression. Seriously Alexandra's overall voice and performance was fairly fitting for the role that is Osono rather well so I have no complaints.
In the Disney dub she was voiced by Tress MacNeille and it definitely worked. While Tress has had motherly roles in the past its not that often where she voices a friendly motherly role (yet alone young) but don;t worry at least IMO it worked quite well. Tress definitely delivered a nice friendly warm motherly tone for the young pregnant woman Osono and I always did find it to be one of Tress' better performances.
Overall I liked them both but I am going with Tress here.

Surprisingly enough Kenworthy was Lisa's mother-in-law because Lisa was married to her son Greg Snegoff til her death

I have to go with Tress MacNeille on this one she did a very nice job and her voice matched the character quite well
