EDITOR'S OPINION
Well folks this is for another VC for the Hayao Miyazaki classic that is "Kiki's Delivery Service" and this time we shall do one for the little black cat that is with Kiki namely Jiji.In the Streamline English dub that was made for Japanese Airlines in 1990 he was voiced by VA Kerrigan Mahan. And in all honesty it wasn't a bad performance sure it wasn't perfect for the role but it was alright. Though as you can already tell this is a fairly one-sided match considering his opposition (but more on that later) but still Kerrigan's performance as Jiji does have its merit.
And for the far more known English dub of Kiki's Delivery Service that came from Disney in the late 90's Jiji was voiced by late great comic actor Phil Hartman. And what can I say? I have always enjoyed the English dubs that Disney has done for the Studio Ghibli films and... lets just say this is no exception. Phil Hartman is well known for doing good comedic performances and this is no exception and one of his last performances was one of his best as well.
Overall I liked them both but of course I am going with the late great Phil Hartman here...

I err... I'll be honest I didn't think his English voices fit if I had to go one I have to go with Kerrigan, Phil was a tad too deep for my liking

I'm going with Phil Hartman, he really made the character for me! :D

Phil really defined this character with his take, and though the script sometimes failed him, his voice and performance kept Jiji entertaining. Kerrigan's just okay, but obviously not on par with a comic legend like Phil.

Definitely going with the late Phil Hartman. Not only was he hilarious throughout the film, he's easily one of the best actors in the Disney dub.
R.I.P. Troy McClure.

Phil gets my vote. Because his voice makes Jiji sound more funny and halarious! ;)

@Anthonyiscool64 Yeah rather than being cautious like in the original and Streamline's dub Jiji is a pessimistic and cynical character in Disney's dub

Oh my god, Phil Harman, 150%. Kerrigan is a great voice actor, but was a TAD miscast as Jiji.
