Voice Compare » Ghostbusters » Ray Stantz
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Ray Stantz with sound clips and images.
Ray Stantz is one of the members of the Ghostbusters team who has been around in the series since right from the start. While Ray is a highly capable scientist in which his fields of expertise are parapsychology, physics and metallurgy but what he is also well known as the "Heart" of the team as he is a genuinely nice guy. Ray is a genuinely kind guy who often displays a child-like enthusiasm for his work regarding the paranormal and is especially good friends with Peter Venkman (in which while Peter has taken advantage of Ray's gentle nature before they are good friends). While Ray is very knowledgeable of the Bible but he seems to think of himself as an Agnostic and he along with colleague Egon Spengler are known for making very wordy and long descriptions about anything regarding the paranormal.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Ghostbusters VC section we take a look at the "Heart" of the team... RAY STANTZ! Let us take a look here shall we?Frank Welker- First of all yeah his Ray voice is basically his Fred Jones voice (in which its not the first time he has done that) but it does genuinely work for the role here. Frank's performance is also very good as it does suit Ray's kind personality rather well and is a good example of Frank's work and a fine example of the voice work in the show.
Dan Akroyd- While yes the fact that Dan did originate the role in the original Ghostbusters movie that came out 25 years before the game would of course come to his advantage. But still Dan does a fine job in playing Ray as a brilliant Scientist who is also a nice guy with a child-like glee to his work and is a good example of the voice work in the game.
Overall I am pretty much calling it a tie here as both of these men did well with the role here.

Go with Ray as his voice and performance was original. Not blaming Frank as there really wasn't a lot of voices he could choose from for Ray.

@OptimusSolo Again on the why. I think Frank is a bit friendlier and Ray's more serious.

@pete calling any of the ghostbusters characters 'serious' is a bit of a stretch don't you think?
