Voice Compare » Fantastic Four » Warlord Morrat
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Warlord Morrat with sound clips and images.
Warlord Morrat is one of the various antagonists in the Fantastic Four series whom made his comic book debut in Fantastic Four #32 in 1965. Warlord Morrat is a known soldier in the Skrull army who like all the other Skrulls can shape-shift (even though he never actually did any shape-shifting) and is the fiance of Princess Anelle (though her father the Emperor does not approve). However Morrat plots against the Fantastic Four as he claims that capturing them will get him in Emperor's good graces but he actually plans to kill the Fantastic Four as a part of his plot to overthrow the Skrull Emperor. Unlike the majority of antagonists in the series Morrat did not become a recurring antagonist and was only in the "Behold A Distant Star" storyline in the series.
EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Fantastic Four VC section we take a look at this Skrull Warlord... MORRAT! Let us begin...
Tol Avery- Tol's voice for the role is pretty good as his performance does seem to fit how Morrat was portrayed in this show well. Tol seems to be playing Morrat as an arrogant sociopath with a rather overblown sense of self-entitlement and does it pretty well. So in other words Tol's work on the role is a pretty good example of the voice work in the show.
Dan Gilvezan- First of all I will say that this is a fairly interesting change of pace for Dan and a fairly good piece of evidence that he does have some vocal range (as I couldn't even tell that it was him at first). Dan does a rather interesting take on this role as he plays Morrat as someone who does seem to care for Anelle (though he is far from a sympathetic character) but he is quite treacherous and power-hungry. Its a rather interesting example of Dan's voice work and a good example of the voice work in the show.
Overall both of these guys are good but I will go with Dan a bit more for this VC.
