Voice Compare » Fantastic Four » Super Skrull
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Super Skrull with sound clips and images.
(Note: Jess Harnell will not be appearing in this Voice Compare due to the fact that when he voiced Super Skrull in the 90's Fantastic Four series all he did was just grunts and roars.)
Super Skrull A.K.A Kl'rt is a very powerful Skrull whom is a prominent Antagonist in the Fantastic Four series whom made his Comic Book Debut in Fantastic Four #18 in September of 1963. Super Skrull is a genetically modified Skrull that has all the powers of all 4 members of the Fantastic Four whom has served the Skrull army but has worked with other villains such as Thanos and Ronan the Accuser. While Super Skrull is primarily known as an enemy of the Fantastic Four he has antagonized other Marvel Superheroes before such as Ms. Marvel whom is one of the more prominent examples.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Fantastic Four VC section we take a look at the most famous Skrull there is SUPER SKRULL! Since this is a huge VC I will say that most of these performances were very good but I suppose I will go with Neil Ross, Mark Oliver and Charlie Adler (Marvel Vs. Capcom 3) the most here. (Though I was pleasantly surprised with Marvin Miller and Earth Warren though). The others were not bad though as while Jim Cummings' work as the SHSS Super Skrull is not bad but I would like to hear him get a chance to do the role without making him sound so robotic kind of like what Charlie Adler got a chance to do. Overall I liked Neil, Mark and Charlie (MVC3 Version) the most for the role of Super Skrull here.Pokejedservo

@Mr.Fennoy93 John DiMaggio is way too deep for the likes of super-skrull

While I always imagined Kevin Michael Richardson as Super Skrull, here are my picks of those who have played him:
1. Kyle Hebert
2. Greg Eagles
3. Charlie Adler (MVC3, he's good but a bit too cartoonish for me)
4. Jasse Falcon (nice and deep but perhaps a bit too deep)
5. Neil Ross (lacks deepness but good gruffness)
With special mention to Jim Cummings

1. Charlie Adler (MvC 3)- I try not to go for the MvC 3 voices since a lot of people are bias torward them but...he was awesome in this role. What's surprising is that's not the voice I expected to fit for him but man does it work. Despite being higher then some of the others it's strong and angry but hints at an unstable side plus the slight effect is good for showing he's not human but isn't too think that it sounds robotic (odd how this is the least robtic sounding of his twp performances). It really is awesome and shows Alder can do serious roles (I know he has other serious roles).
2. Earth Warren- This is closer to how I orignally thought Super Skrull should sound, gruff deep voice while sounding mosterous. He sounds unstable and angry but lacks some "authority figure" sounding and at times sounds alittle forced but I still think it fits.
3. Jesse Falcon- A good deep gruff voice that feels strong and angry, I can also see him commanding other Skrulls which is a big plus.
4. Mark Oliver- Not bad, strong and sounds unstable but is a bit too light but a step in the right direction.
5. Kyle Herbert- Eh, it's a step in the right direction but the effect is a little too thick and seems a little forced and inconstant. It's deep and gruff enough though.
6. Greg Eagles/Neil Ross- Neither are bad but lack a lot. Greg has the deepness and Ross has the gruffness but nothing really else. THeir performances were good though they could do better.
7. Marvin Miller- Pretty generic but characters like Super Skrull sounded like that back then.
8. Tom Harvey/Charlie Adler (SHSS)- Both are using voice that just don't fit. Tom sounds like he's trying to do an Egor voice at times and Charlie...maybe is a parody of "Take me to your leader" saying but just doesn't fit.
9. Jim Cummings- He's one of my favorite voice actors so this is a little hard to write. First off he sounds nothing like Charlie so why the hell use Jim Cummings to replace him, second at least with Charlie the voice felt natural while Jim just sounds forced. I know Jim has a voice that can fit SS a lot better

That is so not true; did you ever listen to *ugh* Jill Valentine, Trish, or Ryu?

@Nightmare Crusher Danielle Burgio did a better performance in the DMC game she acted in IMO.

Eh, I was kinda exaggerating, though Kyle Hebert sounded much better in both SSFIV and SFxTK (likely due to the poor direction in U/MvC3).

For Super-Skrull, I'm gonna go with Charlie Adler, albeit his MvC 3 version. That said, Greg Eagles, Mark Oliver, and Earth Warren were also good.

@Anicomicgeek Kyle Hebert was good, but I think I'm gonna stick with Charlie Adler.

I thought Charlie was horrible in Superhero Squad, yet he is brilliant in MvC3. This just proves that voice direction plays a huge part with the success or failure of someone's interpretation.

Why replace Adler with Cummings? I mean, if I remember correctly, Adler was also in the game as Dr Doom

Charlie Adler, no question. He makes the Super-Skrull intimidating and psychotic at the same time!
