Voice Compare » Fantastic Four » Mole Man
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Mole Man with sound clips and images.
Mole Man is one of the various foes of the Fantastic Four whom made his comic book debut in the 1st edition of the Fantastic Four in November of 1961. Mole Man was formerly known as Harvey Rupert Elder whom was a scientist and explorer but was shunned due to various aspects such as his dwarfish appearance, his abusive personality and that his fellow scientists often deemed him to be a crackpot theorist. But after when he became Mole Man by being the leader of a group of subterranean creatures his powers are a strong radar sense (to make up for his poor vision) and he is a skilled Bojutsu fighter. But while Mole Man is normally known as a villain he has occasionally worked with heroes such as The Thing and Hulk in the past.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Fantastic Four VC section we take a look at one of the FF's first foes... MOLE MAN! Since this is a rather large VC I shall say that all of these guys did alright with the role but I do think that Gregg Berger and Paul Dobson did the best job in portraying Mole Man as an insane creepy lunatic (though Jack DeLeon's calmer and raspier depiction was an interesting change of pace though.)Pokejedservo

The clip marked Ted Cassidy is NOT Ted! You want to hear Ted do the voice of Galactus from the '67 Fantastic Four!

I gotta say, Paul Dobson really nailed it as Mole Man, especially since how different he sounds compared with Doom.

I'm gonna go with Paul Dobson for Mole Man, though Barry Dennen and Gregg Berger were also good. I really don't like toilet humor, so yeah, I don't like with Ted Biaselli's verison as SHS's Mole Man was a walking toilet joke.

1. Paul Dobson- What you imagine for the character; insane, creepy and disgusting but done in a way that keeps you interested in the character. Makes me wish he appeared more in the show.
2. Gregg Berger- Lacked a certain 'disgusting-ness' but still showed enough insane and creepiness. Also it sounds like he's having a little fun with the role which is always nice.
3. Jack Deleon- An interesting portrayal of the character and Jack does this well while still hinting at a insane/creepy vibe to the character.
4. Barry Dennen- Nothing really all that bad it's just a little generic but did show moat of Moleman's characteristics so he gets a pass.
5. Ted Biaselli- it does fit the Show's version but it gets annoying after a while though the show does show off his disgusting side.
6. Paul Kligman- the voice does sound forced and a bit high so if he had "polished" the voice more it would have worked.
7. Ted Cassidy- his lines are overdone, he sometimes slips into his Thing voice and that gets distracting since they were in the same show, and he sounds too angry. It's not the worst voice in the show but is jot close to being great.

Paul Dobson at 1, Gregg Burger at 2, Paul Kligman at 3, Jack Deleon at 4, Barry Dennen at 4, Ted Biaselli at 6 as his take did fir his version, and Ted Cassidy at 7 as his take is more angry then insane and he also overdid it. So the first 5 are the best voices in my opinion.
