Fantastic Four Fantastic Four

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Diablo with sound clips and images.
Franchise: Fantastic Four

Diablo is one of the various antagonists of the Fantastic Four franchise whom made his comic book appearance in Fantastic Four Volume 1 #30 in September of 1964. Diablo is the name of a Spanish Alchemist by the name of Esteban Corazón de Ablo whom had his life extended thanks to the fact that he sold his soul to Mephisto so he can live a longer life.. Diablo's one of the various villains whom tricked The Thing into thinking he will fully turn him back into Ben Grimm and triggering Mr Fantastic/Reed Richards' known hatred of the concept of Magic. While Diablo was a bit more affably evil in his debut he has over the years became much more traditionally evil as a super villain whom wants to rule the world with his alchemy.

Today on the Fantastic Four VC section we take a look at one of the various members of the Fantastic Four's Rogues Gallery... DIABLO! Let us begin...

Regis Cordic- I was pleasantly surprised by this one as while there is little to no traces of a Spanish accent but Regis did a rather good job playing Diablo as an Affably Evil Villain quite well. So in other words its one of Regis' best performances and is one of the better performances in that show.

Andre Sogliuzzo- Andre's work is not bad as he does a good attempt at the accent and his attempt at playing Diablo as a good old fashioned super-villain is pretty good but his voice for the role is a bit too high and nasally. While I understand that a deep voice isn't necessary for Diablo but I would've liked Andre's voice more if it was at least a little bit lower.

Trevor Devall-  Trevor's voice felt very natural for the role as his attempt at the accent was the best so far. Trevor also played Diablo as a flat out villain but he plays the role as an arrogant power hungry alchemist rather well. So in other words its a fine example of Trevor's work in general and is a somewhat interesting change of pace for him as well.

Overall I will go with Trevor with Regis at a close second with Andre at an okay third.

It's really uncanny how much Trevor Devall sounds like Carlos Alazraqui in the role. He has a fantastic Spanish accent and for that I've got to give him my vote.

Andre Sogullizo has a great accent too but his voice sounds way too high pitch for my liking.

Regis Cordic sadly lacks the accent but his voice and delivery sounds great. If he had the accent then Trevor would have had a real major competition in this VC.

Trevor wins this since he strikes a perfect balance between Sogullizo and Cordic taking the best aspects of both them and excelling at Diablo.

BONUS: Carlos Alazraqui, Christian Lanz, Eric Bauza, Eric Stuart and Jason Liebrecht could all make for excellent Diablos.

I'm going with Trevor Duvall, though Andre Sogliuzzo's Diablo was good, too.
