Voice Compare » Eureka Seven » Holland
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Holland with sound clips and images.
EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Eureka Seven Voice Compare section we have Holland whom can lets just say be a rather divisive character, anyways we shall start this off with the Bandai dub released in North America in which he was voiced by Crispin Freeman. Crispin's voice for Holland was genuinely fitting as Crispin's performance can go from aloof but cool to bitterly angry rather well. So in other words say what you will about Holland himself but Crispin Freeman was a very suitable choice for Holland and was a fine example of the voice work in the Bandai dub.Now we shall go for the Animax dub made in Hong Kong for the SE Asia TV Market in which Colin Shevloff takes over the role here. Maybe I am too use to Crispin Freeman's work but Colin's voice for the role doesn't work for Holland at all to me as he sounds a little too high and a bit nasally as well. Granted I suppose there is a character in which Colin's voice could fit but to me Holland isn't one of them in which lets just say even when you view Colin's performance by its own merits Colin was a bit of a miscast for the role. But to be fair at least Colin's acting for Holland was decent enough as it does suit how Holland's personality can be well enough so in other words I have heard worst performances. Overall while the Animax Dub of Eureka Seven does have some good voice work I am clearly going with the Bandai Dub and Crispin Freeman this time.
