EDITOR'S OPINION
And now for something a little different namely with Gohan and Videl's young daughter Pan!We shall be starting this off with the 1997 English release of the PS1 fighting game "Dragon Ball GT Final Bout" in which she is voiced by VA Lia Sargent. I kind of have mixed feelings about this because Lia is well known for doing cutesy higher voices well but her Pan voice is a bit... nasally. But its not really bad as her performance does fairly suit Pan's bratty half pint persona. While Lia Sargent wasn't my first choice for Pan anyways when it comes to that region but as for voice work in that game I have heard better but I have heard a lot worst.
And now for DBZ in which we see Pan as a cutesy little rug rat who is only 4 years old but still has that trademark Saiyan strength. In the FUNi dub she was voiced by Susan Huber, whom does do a cute little girl voice and her performance is just fine as well.
As for the EuroCanadian DBZ dub she was voiced by Brenna "Rin" O'Brien, in which I admit I did find Brenna's Rin voice to be a bit cuter though her performance is just as good as Susan's.
Now as for DBGT we have Pan as a little pre-teen girl and in the FUNimation dub she is voiced by FUNi VA Elise Baughman whom does a cutesy but not too cloying preteen girl voice and her performance did suit Pan well.
In the Blue Water dub of DBGT she is voiced by Caitlynne Medrek and to be honest I can pretty much say the same thing as I did with Elise. And to be honest I found both versions of Pan in DBGT to be good and one of the better performances in their respective dubs.
Overall I liked them all, as for 4 year old Pan both are very good but I liked Brenna a bit more while in DBGT its a tie between Elise and Caitlynne while Lia is in second place.

Kate Bristol sounds cute by why redub the voice? Why not just use archive footage of Susan Huber or bring her back?

@pete Who knows? I guess since Kate's scenes were mostly "touching flashback" moments, they wanted the voice to sound as much like a real kid as possible. They just went in a different direction with those scenes. Though since Kate was still a young kid at the time, it would've been awesome if she was Pan's full-time voice, kinda like Aaron Dismuke in FMA. Pan's the kind of character where casting a real child would benefit, as seen with Brenna and Caitlynne as well. Though fortunately Elise was an awesome Pan. Susan got a little forced-sounding at times though, same for Lia.

Elise Baughman was simply delightful as Pan and I can't see anyone else fitting the role more perfectly then Elise Baughman! Its a shame she doesn't get much voice work now days in anime.

I honestly like Medrek best, an I grew up with the Funimation dubs.

Pan is not "a little preteen girl", she's 14. IMO they should've gotten an older actress to play her for the Blue Water dub. FUNimation seem to be more aware of Pan's age from what I've seen.

@EmmaCRB Interesting that you say that. Funimation apparently played around with the ages so that Pan was 4 in Z and 14 in GT. However, in the Japanese version (and possibly the other dubs), she's 5 in Z and only 10 in GT.
Still, I think that Elise is the best and she'd fit regardless of whether Pan is 10 or 14.

@NCZ I think they scrwed the ages up there because those timelines claim that Bulla (Trunks' sister) is only 9 or 11 in GT when she is clearly not that young. Plus, I was watching GT in Japanese with English subtitles and she claims to be an "adolescent girl"- I think it was episode 49 when she was fighting the first dragon.

@EmmaCRB It can be a bit confusing, but overall I guess it's not too big a difference.

@NCZ AbsoluteAnime claims that toei stated in an interview that GT is 9 years later making Pan 13 but whether that's true or not, I don't know. Since she claims to be an adolescent in the original version, I'm going with 13/14 over 10

@EmmaCRB GT is confusing. There's also the Baby arc where a year goes by in that arc alone, but it seems like only a few days at most! I first thought it was a year from the beginning, which was believable, but the Baby arc alone?
I thought GT was only 7 years from the end of DBZ, even in the FUNimation version.

Elise made Pan sound like the tagalong brat she's supposed to be, and nailed the character better. Caitlynn may have gotten the age down right, but she sounded a bit too sweet.

Caitlynne makes Pan sound her age and seems closest to the source material. Elise sounds a little to mature - both in her voice and delivery; sounds as if she's in her late teens/early 20s.
In fact, I prefer Blue Water's core cast in DB:GT (Pan, Trunks, Goku) with the exception of Eric Vale -- whom I think is equally as good as Matthew Erickson.

Tie between Kate Bristol and Elise Baughman. I used to think that they were the same person, so I consider them the same actor, so I voted for them both.

For Tiny Pan, I call a tie between Susan Huber, Brenna O'Brien, and Kate Bristol. I can't put them in any order; they're all too fitting and too adorable to rank. I grew up hearing Susan Huber as Pan, but I find all of them spot-on for Tiny Pan's character.
If I had to choose one for Teen Pan, I'd have to go with Elise Baughman; I grew up hearing her in GT. Caitylynne Medrek is a very, very close second though; almost close enough to call a tie.
