Nail is a fighter and the personal bodyguard of Guru; the Namek elder. He is very strong and not including Piccolo he is the strongest Namekian on planet Namek.
Although defeated by Frieza he still managed to survive long enough to fuse with Piccolo. The permanent fusion with Piccolo caused Nail to lose his own body and drastically increased Piccolo's power level.
In the English dub version of the Dragon Ball Z anime series Nail was originally voiced by Michael Dobson when the Ocean Group worked with Saban and Funimation.
When Funimation dubbed the series Nail was voiced by Sean Schemmel for all future episodes and also for the uncut DVD episodes.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Both voice actors did fairly good work for this character.I suppose I slightly prefer Sean Schemmel's voice which sounds more serious, tougher and younger (IMO).

He sounded really forced and bad in Z, but by Kai Sean Schemmel finally seemed to know what he was doing. Michael Dobson just sounds old, really old.

Schemmel IMO nails Big Green's voice down, totally.

Dobson's Nail has an air of calmness and authority but does sound very old and slightly feeble, as penguintruth pointed out.
Schemmel's Nail is similar albeit a bit deeper. He sounds younger though, so i'd lean towards him.

Schemmel was way better. Dobson sounded a little too old for the role. Even though now whenever I hear Nail's voice and hear Goku, I didn't know Schemmel had played him until I had read it somewhere. But I will say that his Nail voice has improved since he first began it.

@PurpleWarrior13 Being A Namek doesn't help. Me and my brother were watching Kai and I'm like Moori sounds like Piccolo and my brother's joked that maybe Chris Sabat does all the voices lol.

Yeah I have no idea why did Dobson's Nail voice hardly sounds any different to his Kami voice. (In fact when I first heard the clip I thought Jackson accidentally put in Dobson's Kami voice.) But to be fair I more blame the voice direction since I could actually picture Dobson doing something a bit more fitting than that. But yeah Schemmel is average as well, sure its a slightly lower version of his Goku voice but its not too horrid.

I don't like either voice very much, but (and I hate to say this) I probably prefer Schemmel's, because Dobson's Nail sounds very old and even a little feeble.
