Kid Trunks is the son of Bulma and Vegeta and his best friend is Goten. He is a little spoiled and a bit arrogant. He is one of the youngest Super Saiyans in the series and very powerful for his age.

EDITOR'S OPINION

Yes folks one of the folks from the whole Dragon Ball franchise whom is already on the VC his kid self will get a VC as well. Namely Kid Trunks whom was pretty much in the Buu Saga (unless you count when he was a baby in the Cell saga).

In the FUNimation dub of the series he was voiced by VA Laura Bailey. At first you might notice on how raspy Trunks' voice is here but to be fair considering who his father is that's understandable. ;) But still even though its not my favorite "young boy" performance from her she definitely did bring out Young Trunks' persona as a cocky little half pint well.

In the EuroCanadian dub of the series he is voiced by Ocean Group VA Cathy Weseluck. While I certainly did not mind Laura Bailey's fairly raspy voice for Kid Trunks I like on how different Cathy Weseluck's voice is. Sounds a bit more natural and well normal but to be fair it still does fit Trunks IMO and she was able to give a performance suiting to Kid Trunks' persona as well.

Overall I like them both but I will slightly give Cathy the edge here.

In my opinion, Laura's fits best because of how Eric Vale voices future trunks.

Laura Bailey is quite raspy here, I admit. She improved her Trunks voice later on though and it has a lot more personality than Cathy, IMO. Also, I agree that she sounds like a young Eric Vale, so it's appropriate. I'm excited for the Buu saga to come out in Kai so that she can reprise her role, I bet Laura Bailey will sound even better now.

I love the Funi dub, but jesus, Trunks as Laura sounds like he smokes 60 times a day.

Cathy Weseluck is way better and actually sounds like a boy. Laura Bailey sounds like a chain smoker.

Trunks isn't just any character. He's the child version of an already established character and in that regard Laura sounds more like a younger Eric Vale than Cathy sounds like Alistair Abell.

Yeah I gotta backup Laura on this one. I crew up with it and it just works for Trunks. Cathy's sounds way too smooth and calm.

I think Cathy is better. She sounds more natural...Laura sounds to hoarse and scratchy. >.

Laura's is very raspy, but for Trunks I don't mind it, Cathy sounds a lot like Mona Marshall tbh, but it's still a good fit. Laura's clip doesn't help because it's such a bad dialogue choice, sounds so dumb. Also don't forget it's Laura's first role (though by that time I know she has done a lot). Still, I'd prefer to listen to Laura than Cathy.
