Farmer with Shotgun was the first victim of Raditz on Earth. In the English dub version of the Dragon Ball Z anime series by Saban/Funimation with the Ocean Group he was voiced by Scott McNeil. For the uncut DVD version by Funimation he was voiced by Chris Forbis. In the dub of Dragon Ball Kai he was voiced by John Swasey.

Scott's performance is hilarious, but I find John Swasey to have found the sweet spot between humorous and believable. Chris Forbis sounded a bit flat to me.

Now, I like John Swasey most. He uses a goofy voice like Scott, but has a realistic performance like Chris.

I liked Scott McNeil. I mean, hey, it's "Farmer with a Shotgun"... might as well make your performance comical.

I dunno I found Scott's to be the better one here as I found the performance to be a bit more real (at least Scott's delivery felt a bit more natural). Chris' voice is not bad but when it comes to performances I have heard better from him as its not really bad but it did occasionally came off kind of flat there. I mean yes I know how I am definitely a Scott McNeil fan and all but I did find Chris' work average at best here. But in Chris' defense like I said before his voice for the Farmer is not bad but his performance felt a bit iffy to me. While neither performance is the best from their respective VA I am going with Scott a bit more here. Oh yes and well as they say in GameFAQs...

Chris Forbis is much more realistic in the role. I know because I live in a town with a lot of people like this farmer dude.
