 1 Shout Out!
Scott McNeil, his BS "that's smarts" line notwithstanding.

Scott McNeil still put the most emotion and humor into this bit part. John Swasey's a pretty close second. Chris Forbes is a distant third - there was so little energy in that performance that it killed the mood of that whole encounter between Raditz and the farmer.

Y'know, Jim Cummings would've been perfect for this part.

This is by far the most random voice compare.

Let's be honest. We all know this is Scott McNeil's best role in the franchise :P

Scott McNeil has the most characterin his performance here I'd say. Although John Swasey was good too! Chris Forbis is just sort of bland however.

Scott is the only one I got a genuine chuckle out of here.

John fits the part more than Chris, though, who is just generic here.

Who would he be voiced by if AB Groupe did the show?

@Ghosty404 Maybe Paul Bandey? I could see him pulling it off.

Or Ed.

@GreenGoblin75 Ed would probably be the definitive voice for the character tbh.

Scott Mcneil is the best voice for the Famer with Shotgun. Swasey in second place & Chris Forbis at a distant third.

They're alright but I prefer Scott, he really bought the character to life!

I personally like Scott and John equally. Scott is absolutely hilarious with his exaggerated country accent while John sounds more believable due to his more realistic one, and both are great at selling themselves as panicky gun-toting hicks. Like everyone else has said, Chris falls a bit flat due to his voice being on the flat side at times.

Seriously, Scott is my favorite, though: I like all 3, but he's the one that was the most memorable to me.

So this was the first character to make an appearance in all of DBZ. Award for the first character to make an appearance in the Epic Anime Dragon Ball Z goes to......The Farmer with a Shotgun.

Scott's performance is hilarious, but I find John Swasey to have found the sweet spot between humorous and believable. Chris Forbis sounded a bit flat to me.

Now, I like John Swasey most. He uses a goofy voice like Scott, but has a realistic performance like Chris.

I liked Scott McNeil. I mean, hey, it's "Farmer with a Shotgun"... might as well make your performance comical.

I dunno I found Scott's to be the better one here as I found the performance to be a bit more real (at least Scott's delivery felt a bit more natural). Chris' voice is not bad but when it comes to performances I have heard better from him as its not really bad but it did occasionally came off kind of flat there. I mean yes I know how I am definitely a Scott McNeil fan and all but I did find Chris' work average at best here. But in Chris' defense like I said before his voice for the Farmer is not bad but his performance felt a bit iffy to me. While neither performance is the best from their respective VA I am going with Scott a bit more here. Oh yes and well as they say in GameFAQs...

Chris Forbis is much more realistic in the role. I know because I live in a town with a lot of people like this farmer dude.
