Dorian Harewood would make for a perfect Dabura with his Shadow King voice.

@8000 Saiyans Thinking about it, Dorian Harewood or Corey Burton would actually fit even better than Ron Perlman would.

Rick Robertson > Scott McNeil here, though they're both great takes on Dabura.

But the mainstream voice I love hearing in my head as Dabura would be Ron Perlman. Come on, Hellboy as the Devil King? How could you go wrong?

Rick Robertson. McNeil is good, but way too similar to his Piccolo voice.

@Vocal Evolver Really? He sounds more like Dinobot than Piccolo to me.

@Vocal Evolver
Using his Piccolo voice would've been an improvement.

I just love Rick Robertson as Dabura. I could listen to his deep voice all day. One of the best casting choices in Funimation's in-house dub.

Scott McNeil is one of my favorite voice actors, but he's not the best choice for this role.

I'm very interested in hearing how Rick Robertson will sound in the Kai dub of the Buu Saga. He was very good in the dub of Z, so I'm expecting it to be just as good, if not better this time around.

Rick Robertson's more deep, booming, demonic voice seems more fitting for Dabura to me.

Scott McNeil's voice is fittingly demonic, but his performance sounds a bit too strained and light for the role.

Rick Robertson as Dabura is the definition of evil sounds deep. Wow that voice sounds awesome, imposing and menacing. I'm shocked Rick has only a few voice roles to his name, because he really does sound awesome. FUNimation really needs to call upon him more often, I mean he also great in Yu Yu Hakusho too. You know Rick's voice for Dabura could make for a pretty sweet Unicron.

Scott McNeil's deeper sounding Dinobot just doesn't work right for me as Dabura. He should have done this voice for the other forms of Buu and someone else should have been Dabura like maybe either Brian Dobson, Blu Mankuma, Dean Redman or Dave Pettitt instead.

I definitely give this one to Rick.

@Autovolt I think David Sobolov would have been perfect in the role.

Rick, I'd have went with Kaye but giving his Megatron a Christopher Lee Dracula impression.

Rick Robertson really sounds like what I'd imagine a Demon King would sound like, while Scott McNeil...really sounds like a more demonic version of his Piccolo, not too distinct from his usual roles.

Rick's voice is perfect for Dabura but compare this clip with Budokai/Tenkaich Dabura. I'm pretty sure they pitch shift his voice in the anime which sounds better IMO cause it sounds more demonic and evil.

Rick Robertson. Another standout performance in the FUNimation dub of Z. That is exactly how I pictured the Demon King sounding. Also it sounds completely unique. Scott is underwhelming in this role sadly.

It's been a longer while since i heard that Rick Robertson voices Dabura at first and i gotta say the way he sounds looks totally unique from here on out. Scott's not so much he's sounds awfully like piccolo with no unique voice for him whatsoever. And as a result, i gladly vote for rick for a definitive dabura.

Rick sounds awesome as Dabura, but Scott's performance is pretty much his Dinobot voice with a bit of his Piccolo. I think they should've cast Brian Dobson or Trevor Devall instead.

Rick Robertson was awesome as Dabura! I loved that voice. His Yomi in Yu Yu Hakusho was very good, too. He needs more work.

Scott McNeil is good and sounds suitably demonic, yet Rick takes this one.

Both takes are awesome, but Scott McNeil is just a higher pitched variant of his Piccolo. Rick sounds deeper, more devilish, and like Red524 said, more regal and pompous, fitting for the Demon King.

There was a certain regal quality to Robertson's performance that remind you that Dabura is a Demon *King*. McNeil's isn't terrible but it's more of a generic demon voice.

So it's an archetypal Satan versus an archetypal Man-Beast...

This compare should qualify as quality control.

Roberston just barely. Robertson's Dabura is one of the few good Funi voices.

Rick Robertson. I like Dabura with the deeper tone more, really makes him sound like a demon.

Scott does pretty well also, despite the British accent which is a little odd. He sounds pretty scary and threatening as well.

Like I said: I prefer the deeper tone on Dabura.
