Voice Compare » Doctor Strange » Wong
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Wong with sound clips and images.
Wong is a secondary protagonist from the Doctor Strange series whom made his Comic Book Debut in Strange Tales #110 back in July of 1963. Wong was the assistant of the Ancient One but is now the assistant of Dr. Strange ever since the latter became Sorcerer Supreme. Wong is a Chinese Monk whom was born in the fictional village of Kamar-Taj and he has loyally served the Ancient One ever since he was a small child. However unlike the Ancient One and Dr. Strange, Wong has no magical abilities but is an expert martial artist whom can hold his own against the forces of evil.
EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Marvel Universe VC section we take a look at Dr. Strange's Monk Ally... WONG! Lets begin shall we?
George Takei- Not bad (granted it is a little strange for a man with a Japanese Accent to play a Chinese character) but George's performance did suit on how Wong is a calm wise monk rather well.
Michael Hagiwara- His voice for the role was very good as it is a fairly natural fit for the role as his performance did suit Wong's calm and wise persona very well.
Paul Nakauchi- The accent in his voice is perhaps a bit too light but other than that Paul's work on the role was very natural as his performance suited on how Wong is the wise aid to the Ancient One rather well.
Overall all 3 of these guys are good but I suppose I will go with Michael Hagiwara the most here.
