Disney - Gladstone Gander

Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Gladstone Gander with sound clips and images.
Gladstone Gander is a member of the Disney's "Duck Family" whom is a secondary character in Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck's stories and has made his debut in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #88 A.K.A "Wintertime Wager" in January of 1948. Gladstone's 1st cousin is Donald Duck and he is one of Scrooge's various nephews in which he is known as a lazy easy going duck whom is infamously known for being very lucky in life. Gladstone's luck is known for highly defying probability in which he always gets what he wants/needs without ever actually having to do any work for it and if things do seem to go wrong he resigns immediately until his luck gets back up again (which is normally does). Gladstone's absurdly high rate of Luck often annoys Scrooge and Donald (ESPECIALLY the latter) in which Gladstone and Donald are romantic rivals for Daisy Duck (but he isn't always lucky when he is Donald's Romantic Rival to Daisy).

EDITOR'S OPINION

Today on the Disney VC section we take a look at another one of the members of the Duck Family... GLADSTONE GANDER! We begin with the classic Ducktales series in which Gladstone was a recurring character voiced by Rob Paulsen. Rob was quite suitable for this role here as his voice and performance for the role was quite a natural fit for the role here. Rob plays the role of Gladstone as a generally friendly easy-going smooth talker even if he does come off as a bit of a smarmy egomaniac about his luck. So in other words Rob Paulsen's work as Gladstone is a pretty classic example of his voice work if I do say so myself.

In the 2000 Video Game Donald Duck Going Quackers Corey Burton gets to take over the role here. Unlike Corey's work as Gyro, Corey doesn't really try to sound like Rob but as much as I liked Rob's voice for the role Corey's voice for the role works pretty well with the role too. (And to be fair perhaps its for the best since in that game Gladstone is certainly not a bad guy but the game's story does play up his ego a bit more and is considerably less luckier in the process). But still Corey does a pretty good job playing Gladstone as Donald's rather confident rival pretty well and is a good example of his voice work. Overall I am going with Rob Paulsen the most with Corey Burton as a pretty good second.

ROB PAULSEN!

This part could've been written for Rob Paulsen's voice as far as I'm concerned. Corey Burton's take just doesn't fit nearly as well.
