EDITOR'S OPINIONToday on the Devil May Cry VC section we have a VC for this Blond Bombshell whom lets just say does have a bit of a history with Dante namely... TRISH! We shall start this off with the original Devil May Cry where Trish was voiced by Sarah "Sailor Uranus" Lafleur. Now I know that the voice work in the original Devil May Cry has a slightly mixed reception (sure it was received better than the likes of the original Resident Evil and Onimusha but its still has its detractors lets just say.) But to be honest I always found Sarah's work as Trish to be one of the better performances in that game. I mean sure Sarah's voice and performance for Trish is a bit more somber compared to her successors but to be fair Sarah does a pretty good job trying to get that to work. Sarah's performance gave Trish a cool and rather enigmatic feel that does suit the role pretty well and like I said earlier is one of the better performances in that game.
Trish didn't really appear in the game series again until the 4th game in the series (and Marvel Vs. Capcom 3) Danielle Burgio takes over the role here. While Trish was never really all that prudent in her design to begin with but this was at the time where Capcom tried to play her "Femme Fatale" role a bit more by now and Danielle's voice and performance do reflect that pretty well. I admit that I do feel that Danielle's voice for the role is not one of the best "Sultry" voices I have heard but its not bad. Oh yes and of course as for Danielle's performance for Trish does work for the role pretty well and I do like on how Danielle's performance does have a rather playful tone to it as well. Basically Danielle's performance as Trish is another good example of the voice work in the Devil May Cry series.
Last but not quite the least is Luci Christian as Trish in the English Dub of the Devil May Cry Anime. First of all I do feel that Luci's overall work is a bit of a mixed bag as her Trish voice while not bad but is perhaps a little too high. (While Luci's Trish voice is lower than Melissa's Lady voice but barely, to be honest I do think that Trish's voice should be a bit more lower than Lady's rather than slightly but that could be just me.) However to be fair while Luci's voice as Trish is perhaps a little iffy to me I had no problems with her performance though. Luci was also able to deliver a cool mannered performance that can go from playful to strong mannered rather well. While I admit I am a little uncertain if the idea of Luci Christian was the best idea when it comes to casting but its still a pretty good performance from Luci anyways. Overall all of these ladies have done alright for this role in their own ways but none of them seem "perfect" for the role.
