R Lee took the cake on this one. One of the only voice acting roles he had when he wasn't just the standard "Gunny Sergeant".

R. Lee Ermey is really good as this stubborn old timer. It's great to hear him do something much calmer than what he usually does, while also retaining that authoritative attitude.

John DiMaggio also sounds pretty great. I really get a crack out of his performance.

Dennis Farina isn't bad, but he's kinda lacking compared to R. Lee and John.

Ken Webster is okay, but his delivery is kinda wonky.

John's take here sounds less odd than his other DC Super Hero Girls but even then only slightly works.

@Music Meister I was debating on which John Wildcat clip to use for the VC. See, I actually think he sounds better in his other appearances than he does here.

His TV show/Super Hero High special voice has more of a gruff coach-y jock-like vibe to it, and almost sounds like he's trying to be Patrick Warburton. But in Brain Drain, he loses the deeper voice and sounds more...generically John, to me.

Ahh, I actually hear Patrick Warburton-esque voice. I was wondering why his delivery was odd.
I think they both are ok but nothing game changing either way.

R. Lee Ermey was a great fit for this character.

Dennis Farina seems more angsty and self doubting, then again that's probably in part to how Wildcat is portrayed in JLU.

R Lee Ermey on the other hand definitely sounds more like Wildcat, not just because of how much more upbeat the character is written, but also because Ermey still has the energy and tone to convey the character's attitude.

My vote goes to him.

BONUS: I agree with Autovolt's choices, and even Skeletonking's, but for me I always wanted to hear Frank Welker or Jim Cummings take a jab at Wildcat. I can also see Clancy Brown, JK Simmons, Ron Perlman, Michael Gough, Corey Burton, Jamieson Price, Peter Lurie, or even Michael Bell making good as well; as long as the character is written similarly to Lee's portrayal.

R Lee Ermey is best I would say. Dennis Farina is actually pretty good too, and Ken Webster is also pretty decent, however I don't find his take as enjoyable as the other two (at least, performance-wise)

Dennis is pretty good. It's not anything amazing, but Dennis is moderatly entertaining in the role and he does get the old mentor type of personality down pretty well.

I think it's nice to see R. Lee play a character against type. True it's not a character completely against his normal stereotype (Old general voice), but it's nice to see him have calmer and more collected moments and discussions with characters. As Wildcat he's incredibly likable, both as a no nonsense teacher and as a retired old man kind of character. Again, nice to see R. Lee not play a screeching general character again.

I really like how Ken sounds here. I do wish he got a bit more to work with here because I do hear a decent amount of potential in the performance and voice. I'd say the last second of the line sounds a bit off, but other than that he sounds pretty good.

1. R. Lee Ermey
2. Dennis Farina
3. Ken Webster

I'd say for a future VA, Jack Angel or Gregg Berger

R. Lee Ermey is perfect as a fit as Wildcat, he brings a lot of his usual tough and strict Drill Sargent esque delivery and performance to the role while adding some compassion and warmth to the role, something he doesn't often get to do when he's playing a mentor figure. He fits this old gun hero perfectly.

Dennis Farina is good but feels less distinct in the role.

Ken Webster's voice is more fitting but his performance isn't as great as Ermey or Farina's.

I'm definitely going with R. Lee Ermey on this one.

BONUS: I can so see someone like Garry Chalk or Richard Epcar being great as Wildcat.

if I had to choose in the younger version of WildCat, I would choose Dennis, but as the older version of him, I would choose Ermey.

I was first formally introduced to the character Wildcat via BatB (though I first saw clips of him in Justice League), and let me honestly say that gruff-n-tuff old guys are the kind of characters I love the most, and R Lee Ermey gave Wildcat the feisty spirit and determination that I found so amazing about the character. My vote's going to have to go to Ermey.

Man, I love R. Lee Ermey's Wildcat.

@Metabad As for the other two, they fit as well and I do like their voices, but they seem kind of bland in the role, R. Lee Ermey just brought a lot more personality in the role.

I will say however that Dennis Farina is better than Ken Webster.

They all fit in a way but I prefer R. Lee Ermey, with Dennis Farina in second and Ken Webster third.

I originally heard R. Lee Ermy before I heard Dennis Farina. Although I like Ermy, I felt Dennis sounded a bit more natural. I know Ermy is using his normal voice, but to me, it just was too recognizable.

@Anicomicgeek Gotta be R. Lee Ermey myself. He has that kind of surly yet tough attitude Ted would be known for!

Dennis Farina makes Wildcat sound too much like a 1920's gangster; a common thug.

R. Lee Ermey...he's just who he is: the Gunnery Sergeant I've come to like. I can't call him bad. He gets my vote.
