"Make me Human! If humanity is to perish, let me go with them! Send me to Oblivion with those I love, as one of them!"

Not Much To Say, Here are My Top 5 Favourite Red Tornado Voices:

5. Powers Boothe/Maurice LaMarche
4. Joe Mandia
3. Iddo Goldberg
2. Corey Burton
1. Jeff Bennett

Future VA Recommendations:

Michael Dangerfield Hall would be Fantastic as Red Tornado if he used a Deeper Version of his Sesshomaru voice.

If the right Vocal effects were added to it, James Callis' Alucard voice would also work nicely for The Good Android.

I also Recommend Bill Jenkins, Eric Rath, David Oyelowo and Kenneth Branagh

I agree with Music Meister about Maurice LaMarche souding a bit posh, but I liked him. I also liked Jason J. Lewis and Iddo Goldberg.

Powers Boothe displayed some nice range, if given more dialog I feel he would get annoying over time. I imagine it was a case of "we need some lines for Red Tornado, whose in the booth right now?"
"Ironically, Boothe.''
"Alright, have him do some lines and we'll fix it in post."
He was okay overall.

I understand why people are put off that Corey just sounds like Brainiac but I adore how he talks. He shows emotion without showing emotion if that makes sense. I enjoy his take even if it isn't too different.

Jeff has a great robotic voice and even a good mentor feel to him. I enjoyed him.

Joe is rather generic.

Maurice LaMarche is way too energetic and posh to work for Red Tornado.

Jason just sounds like his Superman with a robotic filter.

Iddo Goldberg is rather decent, the accent helps stand out a little more and sounds fittingly robotic (though some lines were delivered oddly).

I like Corey for his charm, Jeff a close second while the others I am not a big fan of.

I thought the CW wasted Red Tornado as some mook and nothing more, so it's pretty cool that they gave Iddo Goldberg a lot more to do in the Ray movie.

My favorite Red Tornado is still Corey Burton. Using his Brainiac voice, but in a benevolent character, was genius. Jeff Bennett comes in second.

@D.A.V.E. Wasn't the CW at that point, so CBS wasted him
said at 11:46 AM on Sat Feb 17 2018
@GothamRed The CW also used him as brainwashed mook (as well as Metallo). But yeah, CBS too.

Jason J. Lewis is my favorite here. He sounds quite robotic and amusing in the role and he has a cool voice to boot.

Jeff Bennett is almost the same as Jason. He has a cool voice and a great robotic delivery.

Corey Burton is really good as well. I honestly prefer him as Red Tornado than as Brainiac.

Maurice LaMarche is a bit more chipper compared to Jason, Jeff and Corey, but he does work rather well. His performance is actually pretty amusing.

Powers Boothe is okay, but it's a bit generic.

Joe Mandia and Iddo Goldberg sound kinda off to me.

I think this is a nice change of pace for Powers. While his work is very brief, I think it's fascinating to see him do a voice like that, makes me wonder if there was some slight pitching. It's cool to hear even if it is pretty brief, but as a whole I think he does pretty decent with the material he had.

Corey is also pretty decent. It is pretty much just a lighter and slower sounding version of Brainiac, but as a whole, it's decent. Nothing spectacular but Corey works.

Jeff is really good here. I like that he almost has this fatherly sound to his voice while being somewhat emotionless at the same time. I like his lower pitch and I think the vocal effects here are incredibly well done.

Joe is also pretty good. He doesn't have a whole lot, but the vocal effects are done very well and he completely nails the robotic delivery.

1. Jeff Bennett
2. Joe Mandia
3. Corey Burton
4. Powers Boothe

I'd say for a future VA, Keith Silverstein or Tom Kane

Jeff Bennett BY FAR! I've always thought he was a great fit for machine/robotic characters and Red Tornado is no exception. Yeah it's not too far off from his Owen from Gargoyles but I think it fits this character well.

Corey Burton is also pretty good, though it sounds too much like his Brainiac for my liking, though I like to imagine this is what a heroic Brainiac would sound like.

Joe Mandia is decent, nothing really to say about his performance.

Powers Boothe....I'm sorry but he's not at all a good fit for Red Tornado. His voice sounds way too high pitch and weird sounding. I mean it's cool to see Powers show off his range but it doesn't fit here. He kind of reminds me of Brian Drummond's Jolt.

Jeff Bennett gets my vote.

BONUS: I guess Brian Drummond would be a good fit for Red Tornado. I could also see Crispin Freeman, Chuck Huber, J. Michael Tatum or Sean Schemmel fitting well too.

From what I understand on the subject, a lot of the stuff with Powers Boothe was done in post because they were trying to make it sound very different from Grodd.

I like Jeff plenty, but I think his take sounds too similar to his Owen voice from Gargoyles.

Then again I'm not too familiar with the character so maybe it works

Jeff Bennett sounds a little bit like Crispin Freeman at times.

Speaking of which, would Crispin make a good Red Tornado?

Powers Boothe sounds too high pitched, and Corey Burton and Joe Mandia sound too much like a generic robot. Jeff Bennet sounds robotic, but he has the most emotional range. Jeff Bennet earned my vote.

Jeff Bennett all the way, Powers take sounds too slithery (if you will) for my tastes, Corey did an awesome job but it reminded me of Brainiac.

Powers Booth sounds ANNOYING. Corey Burton has an accent which I really don't like for this character. I think I like Jeff Bennett and Joe Mandia better.

I wouldn't say Burton's voice sounds EXACTLY like his Brainiac. The Brainiac voice is much cooler, roboticish and cold.

According to an interview it's actually his natural sounding voice but spoken lower and softly. No filter or extra stuff involved. ;)

Anyways I like them both
