Voice Compare » DC Universe » B'wana Beast
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of B'wana Beast with sound clips and images.
EDITOR'S OPINION
B'wana Beast, one of the more relatively obscure DC superheroes and is a bit of a one-episode wonder in both shows he is in.In Justice League Unlimited he was voiced by Peter Onorati. Now I am all for the DCAU of course and JLU is by no means an exception but the choice of voice was a bit strange here. I mean whats with the Blue Collar New Yorker accent? Sure there are known Superheroes who can make that work but this just feels a bit strange. Though to be fair I am not calling Peter Onorati a bad actor as at least his performance is not bad. (Though granted I never actually read a B'wana Beast comic before though I dunno if that would help.)
In Batman Brave and the Bold he was voiced by VA Kevin Michael Richardson, and I must say he definitely felt a lot more natural in this role right from the start. Granted I am pretty use to Kevin Michael Richardson's handiwork but still it definitely felt a lot more suiting to this role for sure.
So as much as I love the DCAU I am going to have to go with Kevin Michael Richardson on this one for sure.

I don't get the love for Peter, I felt Kevin fit more for the character

@Music Meister Same here. The New York accent made completely no sense for B'wana and the performance was pretty bland. Kevin was more faithful to the character and had much more material to work with.

@D.A.V.E. Plus it's not Kevin's typical type of character/voice

Peter Onorati is the best but Kevin Michael Richardson is good

Both are good as B'Wana Beast, but I'm gonna give this one to Peter Onorati.

I actually think the new york accent fits B'Wana Beast very well, as some New York ppl have teh stereotype to be a little more rude and piggish, I can see where they were going here! It's a contradiction, but at the same time, it's subtle connection.

Little known fact: the growl B'wana Beast gives is actually performed by producer James Tucker.
