Voice Compare » DC Universe » Amazo
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Amazo with sound clips and images.
Amazo is a recurring DC Comics antagonist who first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #30 (June 1960). The Amazo robot was created by Professor Ivo as a means for immortality and to showcase his intellect. Amazo was sent by Ivo to destroy the Justice League and beats the entire League on its first encounter with its combined abilities. Amazo nearly succeeds in destroying them, but was defeated by Batman when he exploits the android's newly acquired weakness to Kryptonite. Amazo remains a constant threat to the superheroes ever since. Amazo's synthetic body was built with "absorption cells", which duplicate the powers and abilities of metahumans in his proximity, such as Superman's strength and flight, Flash's speed, Martian Manhunter's telepathy and intangibility. Later on, it could create objects the heroes use such as the Green Lantern's power ring and Wonder Woman's lasso.

EDITOR'S OPINION
(Editor's Note: Fred Tatasciore won't be in this Voice Compare mainly because Amazo only makes grunts and doesn't have a speaking part)I will give credit for Roger Rose and Peter MacNicol for portraying Amazo as the "traditional" mindless, evil robot.
However, Robert Picardo's portrayal of DCAU Amazo was spectacular. While this Amazo has nothing to with its comic book counterpart, Picardo's voice (along with the writing) makes the android much more than just a mindless weapon. JLU's Amazo comes off as confused and naive, yet with a lingering chance of still being a menace and it's one of the better performances in the show.

Robert Picardo. Yeah, it's a less conventional take, but sometimes taking risks and creating alternate representations of characters in comic book adaptations leads to a better representation overall (e.g. Mr. Freeze), and, like with Mr. Freeze, this also creates a version of Amazo that is both sympathetic (especially considering he's portrayed as a typical emotionless android most of the time) and menacing.
That being said, Roger Rose is good too, as is Peter MacNichol, though I could do without YJ!Amazo saying the name of every JL member before using his/her powers.

All three are good, but I'm gonna go with Robert Picardo for Amazo.
