Papu Papu is the chief of the native tribe that inhabits the Wumpa Islands. His name supposedly means "Pass me that dish again, mate!" in his native language, which explains his wide girth. Papu Papu has a fuse as short as he is big and does not take kindly to his nap being disturbed or his territory being trespassed.
In Crash Team Racing, he is voiced by Michael Gollom in the English version. In Crash Twinsanity, he is voiced by Dwight Schultz (who also voices Dingodile among others in the game).
