Simon Belmont, the original hero of the Castlevania series. Though I know right now that while Simon himself is by all means renowned in the series neither one of his depictions for the following two voices on the other hand well not so much.

That is especially true in his often reviled "In Name Only" depiction in the 1989 DiC animated series "Captain N" voiced by semi known Ocean VA Andrew Kavadas.

While Captain N was very much a kids show it was possible for them to do something a bit better for Simon that won't be too explicit for a kids show. However DiC went for a flat out comedic route as how it seems to be that they are spoofing Simon by giving him a flamboyant egomaniac personality.

But in all fairness say what you will about whether if Simon should have been taken more seriously or not but Andew Kavadas' overall performance did certainly fit with what DiC was going with here.

Simon didn't really get an English speaking part until the recent Nintendo Wii game "Castlevania Judgment" voiced by Keith "Zasalamel" Silverstein. Now say what you will about Simon's rather "Light Yagami"-esque fashion sense here but I don't think there was any problem with Keith's voice work for Simon. Keith Silverstein may not have been perfect for the role but his voice and overall performance worked just fine with Simon IMO.

So overall I am going with Keith Silverstein here of course.

Captain N's take on Simon Belmont was really Simon Belmont in name only. I know Simon only had 2 NES games that gave him literally no personality to work off of, but I can't say I get the choice to make him a prissy arrogant ditz who was in love with his looks. To be fair, Andrew Kavadas's voice sure WORKED for this take, but as it really wasn't Simon Belmont, it falls at the bottom.

Keith Silverstein was MUCH more like it! While Simon's design really left something to be desired, and the performance wasn't the best, Keith's voice just really works for me as Simon, and I feel like with better direction, he would absolutely nail it.

Alec Newman's take isn't too shabby. I'm personally not a fan of the Lords of Shadow series in general, but I can dig this version of Simon. The accent work okay, and his voice and delivery work well enough. It's an alternate continuity, though.

All-in-all, I feel like Keith is the closest we've got to a "classic, original" Simon Belmont voice, and that, along with how well his voice just fits, gives him my vote. Alec was okay, but like I said, his games aren't my cup of tea, and Andrew wasn't really Simon Belmont at all.

I'm more Partial to Alec Newman's take. His darker, battle scarred voice stands out the most for me.

Keith Silverstein's voice is solid for the role though I have mixed thoughts about Simon's design in that game.

Andrew Kavadas' VA talents are wasted as the Captain N incarnation.

Keith Silverstein and Alec Newman tie here! I don't have a particularly preference between the two because they're both great.

Andrew Kavadas is really entertaining. However... I can't really say I like his version of Simon over the other two XD

It's funny how reviled the Captain N version of Simon is, but me and the other guys behind the Annotated Series (which covered Captain N) absolutely love him.

You know what's weird, Captain N's Belmont looks exactly like Andrew Kavadas.

Look at this pic of Kavadas and you'll see the resemblance:

Funny how all three Simon are totally different one is the hack n eye fat version, the other is a regular anime handsome dude and the current one is a hairy muscular man

But I think I'll go with Alec as the best

first castlevania voice compare for me.

Andrew Kavadas: 2 words: ABSOLUTE JOKE!!! Not the worst, but just a joke.

Keith Silverstein: vector as simon? YES PLEASE

Alec Newman: him portraying simon as a viking makes him the worst.

I'm going with Keith Silverstein.

I'm switching my vote to Alec Newman. The Scottish accents in MoF are an excellent touch; they really enhance the series's European flair.

Neither of them are 100% identical to Simon Belmont's original appearance but... this should go without saying. Keith Silverstein wins!
