EDITOR'S OPINIONAlright folks the Castlevania VC section shall now receive its first female character and I figured who would be better than one of the more prominent ladies in the series than Maria Renard?
Oh yes and while her child self did appear first chronologically in the series, her older self had English voice acting first so this version of Maria will go first in which this will be for Castlevania Symphony of the Night and both the PS1 and PSP version.
In the PS1 version she is voiced by VA Kimberly Forsythe and while I know on how reviled the English voice acting is on the PS1 version (its usually either considered atrocious or unintentionally hilarious) but I actually liked Kiberly's work here. She had a nice fairly low alluring voice and she easily had one of the better performances in the original version of that game (though I am sure at least someone else is thinking "Yeah like that's saying much").
In the PSP version of the game that went with the PSP title "Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles" she is voiced by VA Michelle Ruff. While Michelle's Maria voice was a little higher than Kimberly's it was still very much in spirit though I do like on how Michelle's Maria Renard voice and performance did have a bit more of a playful edge to it. While its not as good as her Fujiko Mine voice in Lupin the 3rd it is a good example of how Michelle Ruff can do a fairly more alluring voice as well and is one of the better performances in that game too.
Overall I... am surprisingly not sure which one of these voices will I be going with as they both did well here.
