Voice Compare » Capcom » Nathan Rad Spencer
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Nathan Rad Spencer with sound clips and images.
Nathan "Rad" Spencer is the hero of the Bionic Commando series whom has been around in the series since its first installment (in which I am referring to the Arcade version). Rad Spencer is known as a Bionic Commando whom are basically cyborg soldier with their "Bionic Arms" in which Rad has a cybernetic arm that he can use as a grappling hook. Rad has gone through different designs over the course of the series such as a futuristic cyborg soldier, a man dressed in a green army soldier with shades to a bitter anti-hero with dreadlocks. While Nathan has always and still does have access to his grappling arm he is only recently able to jump in the games (he originally was unable to jump in which he relied on his Bionic Arm to do any jumping).

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today we start the Capcom VC section with the hero of the Bionic Commando series... NATHAN SPENCER! Let us begin...Mike Patton- While Nathan's "Darker and Edgier" design in this game was not exactly popular but Mike's voice and performance do work with this take on the role pretty well. Mike plays the role as a anti-hero whom is bitter at how he was treated in the past but is still going to do the right thing. So in other words Mike's performance was a pretty good example of the voice work in that game.
Dameon Clarke- While Dameon's voice is perhaps a little too high his Dameon does a pretty good job in making it work though. But while Capcom used Nathan's 2K9 design in the game Dameon seems to be more playing the role like how Rad was earlier in the Bionic Commando series and does that pretty well. While Dameon's work on the role is pretty above average in general its a pretty good example of his work and of the voice work in MVC3.
Overall neither of these guys are perfect for the role but they both were alright in their own way.

Dameon was pretty good though too, especially for a stand-in from a fighting game. Very much the same as Mike, only a bit too nasally and Cell-esque. It IS quite interesting to hear him doing video game VO work after taking a few years off of voice acting. Anyway, he's about as good as Mike, not to mention of the better Capcom English voices of U/MvC3 (which I personally don't care for).
So yeah, it's pretty much a tie.
