Gonna go with Kelly Manison for Linna, though like with the others, given other roles, I could see her as the OVA incarnation of Linna.

Elizabeth Becka's Linna in Bubblegum Crisis (not Crash!, which the clip is actually from) had warmth and sincerity during scenes with Irene and friends, and a general mature stability that I think suits the character. I'll actually admit that I liked it better than Michie Tomizawa's in the original Japanese, which was a little higher pitched I guess. I'm not sure what's going on here with the clip they used of her in Crash!, but if you listen to her in the original Crisis she sounded to me like a nice, warm, normal person and that suited her character (as well she was funny when the girls were picking on her about her man habits lol). It's my opinion, but I don't think it's fair to call the Bubblegum Crisis dub a "bad" dub or the "worst dub ever"... It is different and original in comparison to most dubs now that all use the same types of voices and have a very set kind of sound. I actually liked the down-to-earth nature of performances like Linna in that dub, and think it suited the type of story well. Again... not judging from the Crash! sample of her, which is admittedly kinda hammy. Stacey Gregg's- which is the Bubblegum Crash! dub that I remember- is nice and suited to the character (particularly during a funny situation like that lol). Kelly Manison's in 2040 (like it's been said, a totally different character in that series anyway) actually drove me totally nuts in scenes like that, and I couldn't listen to it for very long. The character always sounds like she's way over-panicking or going kinda shrill and irritating like that a lot, even in action scenes where she ought not to be (at least the Japanese actress toned it down and didn't always have that emotional wavering quality), and it sounded incredibly irritating to my ears and made the character kinda hard to like despite her pluck. So if I was to go by an actual good snippet of Linna in the original OVA I'd say Elizabeth Becka, who was very good at times just not there in that clip lol.

Well, first of all, Linna in Bubblegum Crisis 2040 is not the same character as in the original OVA.

Second, the original OVA's dub is one of the worst English dubs for an anime in history. They dragged in people with no voice acting experience or talent and they performed woodenly.

Third, 2040's dub, like most ADV dubs, doesn't hold up at all.

It's a wash altogether.

I told Foxwolf about that and yeah while none of them are really bad I actually kind of liked Stacey the most here.

Elizabeth Becka doesn't work. But based on Stacey and Kelly, I like them both the same for different reasons.
