Voice Compare » Beauty and the Beast » Lumiere
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Lumiere with sound clips and images.
Lumiere is a talking candelabra and, strangely enough, the only person in France with a French accent. He lives for reckless disregard of his master's rules and stages kitchen-themed Broadway numbers behind his back. Despite his blatant screwing of the rules, he is the Beast's closest friend and is often the one to give him advice when he's not busy getting it on with a featherduster.

Jerry Orbach is simply the king of this role, because his training on Broadway properly primed for the showman that Lumière is! I love Jeff Bennett, but he is overshadowed by his predecessor...

Jerry Orbach, yes. But I suppose Jeff Bennett is a close second.

Obach, definitely. Bennett was decent, could have put more oomph.

Definetely Orbach, but Bennett makes a decent stand-in for him.

Jeff Bennett's voice is too similar to the other characters he has played but too bad Jerry Orbach has passed he was amazing at this role
