Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Riddler with sound clips and images.
(Note: For those whom are curious Bruce Timm was not added in this Voice Compare because he never actually spoke in Batman Under the Red Hood.)

EDITOR'S OPINION
Today on the Batman VC section we have another member of Batman's Rogues Gallery whom is quite the "E. Nigma" indeed, okay bad puns aside here is a VC for THE RIDDLER! Since this is a rather large VC I shall make this a short one as I found John Glover, Wally Wingert and surprisingly enough Shannon McCormick to be the best of the Riddler voices here. The other VA's in this VC were for the most part not bad (though I do think that Ted Knight was probably the weakest performance here. To be fair Ted's voice for the role is not bad but the delivery on his lines can be inconsistent and awkward, I admit I have heard worse but still.) Overall I am going with John Glover, Wally Wingert and Shannon McCormick the most here.Pokejedservo

Ted Knight wasn't too good. The voice and delivery both sounded kind of off.
Michael Bell did a pretty good job of making him sound arrogant and intelligent. The voice was a little annoying, but I think that was intentional.
John Glover made him sound intelligent and more than a bit theatrical.
Robert Englund gave a creepy, menacing performance. Only problem I have is that he sounds a bit too old for that particular version of the character. I wish he'd played an older Riddler.
Wally Wingert, while also nailing the intelligence and arrogance, the added element of his inferiority complex really made his performance distinctive.
John Michael Higgins is more of a classic Riddler: theatrical, arrogant, and a little annoying; he did a good job.
Shannon McCormick sounded arrogant and intelligent. Not much to add.
Dave Franco was a very different interpretation of the Riddler. While not personally a fan of this Riddler, he did perform the part well for what it was.
Rob Paulsen was entertaining as usual.
I went with Wally Wingert, but other than Franco and Knight, I though the others were also great Riddlers.

Wally Wingert is pretty much perfect, I'm excited to see him play the character again. Shannon McCormick is my second place.

Robert Englund was good, but the design for his Riddler isn't.

@Mr.Fennoy93 If he actually did his Jim Carrey impression, he would sound A LOT better.

Tee Hee I liked all of them... Though of course like all judgmental human beings. I have a specific faves over others.
1. John, Wally, and Shannon... they both captured the cool, calm intellect side of him with a bit of corky-ness, which we come to expect. They also do his angry side very well too. Rob, Ted, and Michael are a close second. I can't really decide which of those three I like best. Surprisingly Rob was more decent than I expected but still a bit creepy. My third choices are Rob Paulsen and Dave Franco. Now Rob is okay as him and James sounds well I guess the right age he's suppose to portray him as, but I still find it a bit lacking.

1. Robert Englund- Creepy yet intelligent but still had that cockyness he needs on top of that he could still fit the sympathetic side that the show had. It think his performance is underrated.
2. Shannon McCormick- Again, creepy yet intelligent. The delivery on the riddler is really well done and even showed some fear at the end maybe showing a tragic side to him? Maybe not but still his performance fits well for the character and is another underrated performance.
3. Wally Wingert- I'm surprised by this (or was when I first found out it was him) this is a nice change of pace for him. It lacks a creepiness or a tragic side but he sounds intellignet and cocky which fits the character but then there's the fact that he can just snap out of no where over the littlest things. It makes him unpredictable and more scary then creepy. It's nice :D
4. John Glover- Voice wise it's pretty generic but he make up for it with a good performance with a good mix of comical and tragic.
5. Rob Paulsen- After Glover there are no more serious Riddlers and of the "comical" Riddlers Rob is the best. Yeah he has few lines but the inconstisnt voice hints at his insane side and he does have an okay deilvery. Plus what I've come to hear with most of his roles, Robs sounds like he's having fun.
6. Micheal Bell- It's campy and cheesey but one of the better examples of those. Not great but not terrible.
7. Ted Knight- Pokejedservo said it best, not a terrible voice but the delivery is awkward.
8. Dave Franco- Total miscast! I mean really, they thought this fit. Maybe it kind of fits the intelligent side but nothing else, it's not even funny! The lisp makes no sense, the voice is annoying and even the deilvery sounds annoying. I thought in the prison epsiode they were building him up to be this crazy badass that'll make everyone who insulted him pay but that didn't happen.

1 . Shannon McCormick - Sounds like an obsessed intellectual which is exactly what Riddler`s supposed to be . Bonus points for the mix of creepiness , cool detachment and fear towards the end .
2 . Robert Englund - His creepy yet tragic Gothic take on Riddler was daring yet it totally paid off IMHO as while he creeped us out , as we learned more about his backstory and how he`d been betrayed by his fiancee and lab partner we couldn`t help but feel sorry for him . For all the creepiness and mindgames , at his core this Riddler was ultimately a frustrated genius whose life may have taken a different turn had he been appreciated rather than mocked and betrayed by the only two people he ever really trusted .
3 . John Glover - Glover`s Nygma , a disgraced toystore employee who had a mutual respect for Batman whom he saw as an intellectual equal and perhaps the man he lacked the strength and discipline to be , was another creepy yet tragic take on The Character . He was refreshing amongst BTAS villains in that he really had nothing against Batman . He simply saw him as a worthy opponent and good challenge .
4 . Wally Wingert - A different , not as sympathetic but no less valid incarnation of The Riddler , this incarnation of The Character is a frustrated genius convinced Batman is every bit as much a criminal as he is ( which , at least , from a legal standpoint if not a moral one , is true ) and out to prove it .

I went with Wingert, though McCormick did a great job, too.
There's no way I can take Dave Franco seriously as Riddler; it just sounds awful and out of place. It gets real annoying, real fast, especially with that lisp.

Wow, this was a horrible reminder of just how bad most of the Riddler voices actually were. The only two people who ever did Riddler justice were Glover and Wingert. It's hard to pick my favourite of the two as I lvoe both of their renditions but at a push I'd say Glover (even though a poor choice of clip). Wingert very close second.

Wally definitely gets my vote. He can sound so dangerous, yet so... affable. That's a deadly combination when you're trying to catch someone you can't see. xD

Wally Wingert wins this one in my opinion. It was hilarious when the Riddler belittled his own henchmen in Arkham City. Not to mention Wingert is brilliant when the Ridller gets paranoid in Asylum when Batman beats his riddles.

Also, Shannon sounds a lot like Remi from Ratatoille, but most likely, that's just me.

John Glover, with Wally Wingert being a very, VERY close second. Glover not only makes The Riddler sound very calm and collected, but he also manages to make him lose his cool after he has been bested in spectacular fashion. Glover's screaming at the end of the episode "Riddler's Reform" in particular makes him the definitive Riddler for me.
Wingert is fantastic as well, giving Riddler a slight sense of insecurity that flares up every now and then to great effect.

As much as I loved Batman: The Animated Series, I'm going to have to go with Robert Englund on this one, not only does he have the best voice but he also looks unquestionably creepy and has the most haunting and awesome design out of all of them.

In order are my favorites:
1. Wally- Had a good range. Went to serious to crazy to a little silly
2. Robert- All serious but worked for that version of the Riddler
3. Shanon- Good delivery on the riddle and sounded aragont which is what I imagine for the Riddler

John Glover hands down. He gives off the perfect sound of an overly intelligent bad guy. He really makes the Riddler sound incredibly narcissistic and arrogant which is perfect.

It's a tie between Winger and Glover as both seem to do the best job at making the riddler not sound goofy but more serious. but i will put McCormick at a very close second!
