Voice Compare » Alvin & The Chipmunks » Simon Seville
Comparision of the voice over actors who have been the voice of Simon Seville with sound clips and images.
Simon is the Chipmunk voice of reason. He is by far the most down to earth as well as the smartest of the bunch. He also at times displays a very witty sense of humor. He is usually paired with Jeanette of the Chipettes who displays similar characteristics.

EDITOR'S OPINION
Simon just like Alvin was voiced by Ross Bagdasarian Sr. in the original Alvin show and by his son in Alvin and the Chipmunks. Both of these men are chipmunk geniuses but at times they are not very consistent with their Simon 'voice' as you can hear in both of their clips. In the end I do prefer Jr's voice with its deeper tones over Sr's. This is the easiest of the Chipmunks compares for me to pick a winner though. Matthew Gray Gubler, from Criminal Minds did an absolutely PERFECT job capturing the character of Simon. I love his speech pattern that he used and the way he enunciated his words. Awesome! (And I am an 80s child so thats saying something!!)1st: Gubler, 2nd: Ross Jr. 3rd: Ross Sr.

I've always wondered if any of the Chipmunk voices are genuine, or if they all modify it.

Unlike Alvin, these actually sound more unique from each other. I'm going with Gubler.
