I have to give this to Richard Hayden. He gives a really slithery performance without coming off as evil, with a sense of sarcasm and humour.

Alan Rickman is easily the creepiest of the voices, though I can't help but get Severus Snape vibes when I listen to him. Great voice just Richard stood out a bit more.

Jarion Monroe is pretty alright but he sounds just like a typical wise old man.

Don McManus is easily the weakest. I get its the Care Bears version but it really doesn't do much for me and sounds far too generic and forgettable.

 2 Shout Outs!
Richard Haydn is really awesome. He has a pretty sarcastic and indifferent attitude, but he's also pretty quirky and entertaining.

Jarion Monroe does a pretty boss job too. I find his voice and delivery to be pretty amusing. The only nitpick about his take is that he doesn't sound pretty rude.

Alan Rickman is the complete opposite of Monroe. He nails the rudeness and sarcasm well, but he really isn't a lot of fun.

Don McManus is entertaining, but he doesn't fit the character at all.

I have to say Richard is the most unique and memorable of these voices. He was everything the caterpillar is supposed to be: a rude, sarcastic, and indifferent yet knowledgeable character.

Alan was good, but not quite as memorable or unique as Richard.

I thought Jairon was just okay. Not really that memorable or unique, plus it doesn't seem to fit the character very well to me.

Just no on Don. He sounds very generic; any actor can give that performance.

Alan Rickman is good as ever, but he's just Alan Rickman.

Richard Haydn, hands down, gets the most original take on the character, ever. He does the lines with such an unctuousness and eccentric superiority that he's impossible to argue with. He makes the contradictions sound profound.
Mr. Carroll would have been blown away.

Hey it's Snape, his voice is pretty good so he gets my vote with Richard 2nd, Jarion third and Don last

 1 Shout Out!
Alan gets my vote as he sounds like a wise old caterpillar who knows what he's talking about.

Richard gets my respect for bein the 1st voice which isn't easy. He was also pretty good as the Caterpillar.

Jarion is just average.

Don is a bit too cheerful for the Caterpillar, it's a good voice but it doesn't fit here.

Once again, we deal with different incarnations of of the same character. I'm not sure about the Care Bears version, but the Disney version is a version that THINKS he's wise when he's not really, while the American McGee and Tim Burton versions really ARE wise.

Any further analysis?

Richard Haydn did a nice job
Although I might add we're missing Corey Burton who voiced him in House of Mouse

@MatthewC17 even though Burton had only one line

@MatthewC17 They don't add them if they have one line anymore or at least CatsTuxedo won't.

@MatthewC17 And if I remember correctly, Corey Burton's version of the caterpillar sounded pitch-shifted.

I'd say Haydn first and Rickman second

@Cartoon_fan87 To be fair, we're looking at different versions of the same character.
