EDITOR'S OPINION
Ah Kei a strong-willed young woman who is the female member of the resistance who also ends up to being Kaneda's love interest.In the 1989 Streamline dub she was voiced by VA Lara "Rosemary" Cody and I must say its not that bad. Sure the Streamline dub of the movie like other Streamline dubs is not all that renowned but for a twenty year old dub it seemed alright to me in a voice acting aspect.
In the 2001 dub she was voiced VA Wendee Lee. And in this dub Wendee did a fairly more moderate toned voice for Kei here, its not one of Wendee's finest but it certainly fits the character and the performance is overall rather above average.
Pretty much in this Voice Compare its pretty much a bit of a case of "Kei Vs. Yuri" if you know what I mean. Okay all cheap Dirty Pair jokes aside overall I am not quite sure after all the voices are fairly similar (except that Lara's is a bit higher) but still I liked them both.
