Yes, the game is primarily based on Armada, but there are still a lot of references to previous fiction.
(On a side note, Garry Chalk and David Kaye aside, Daran Norris is the only actor in the game who's a TF veteran; he voiced Heavy Load from Robots in Disguise.)

some of the lines in the game are not original like megatron optimus and unicron repeated lines from the 1986 film. like unicron said his last words just like in the 1986 film.
